Loved what I saw from PSU's Offense last night, but weather may be a factor in this one. May need to rely on running game. Could be windy, snowy, etc which would be tough on passing game. But PSU can certainly run well.

Before the B1G CCG, I would have been concerned with Penn State in a shoot out with a top team. After the game against Oregon, I think they can go toe-to-toe with anyone. That offense played angry.

If the officials call at least ONE holding penalty on SMU PS will be fine defensively.

This sounds like sour grapes, but one of the two interceptions was an obvious pass interference on Oregon. And one of the D ends for PSU was held every set of downs.

I hate when people complain about penalties but this time, I saw the 7 holds and the pass interferences plus a reviewable play that could have been a fumble.

I think Penn States defense finally played against a Top Tier offense, in my opinion Oregon has the best of the best this season. Tom Allen and this Penn State defense is going to make their adjustments and try to shut down the SMU offense. Kotelnicki has got this offense playoff ready. PSU wins 38-17

For old timers this is an SMU revenge game for 1982. When PSU took #1 from and undefeated SMU :) But on the whole, I hear all this commentary about why PSU is a sure 10 point win. That may happen. But I just don't see any clear evidence of it. These are 2 teams that know nothing about each other nor even common opponents--playing in completely different styles. I'm not for the Vegas line nor against: I just think no one knows nothing until kickoff.

You do realize weather can disrupt both team? I think Jimmy wants the ultimate experience for the playoff for SMU since they will be completely out of their element. Besides, chaotic football weather is definitely the best way to play the game in my opinion. Unless you are from the South, then I guess you might not understand how awesome it is to play in such weather.

Or maybe he realizes it would be an advantage for a cold-weather team versus a warm-weather team. Penn State would be favored even if this game was at SMU, he's just being rational and saying he wants all the advantages.

NO!!! Both of these teams have been irrelevant since Ronald Reagan was President. This game is about stepping out of the 1980's and FINALLY winning a big game again! I mean, let's look at this. SMU was a powerhouse from the early 80's that received the Death Penalty from the NCAA and went into oblivion for decades. Penn State won a Natty in the 80's then became obsolete in some respect, then had their program gutted by a child sex scandal, and now they have bounced back! And neither program has been relevant in a big-game way since the 80's. This game forces one of these teams back into relevance. I think it is the most intriguing matchup in the entire playoff.
