How was this song not a bigger hit. Absolute classic.

I thought the Lemonheads’ cover would fix that, but you gotta remember what the landscape looked like in that part of 1997

My absolute fave line too. When I play it live, I always chill out the guitar and slow it down to really give it some impact. Such a great feeling when people listen to it, and get a chuckle... often an ironic chuckle as for many in the crowd it would be a bit too close to home :)

i always think of an ex that would flip out if she didn’t watch the Saturday night Scifi channel line up both times (they always aired everything twice back then). A wise man who created many amazing and beautiful things wrote on a sign, “ I did all of this while you were watching television” (sic)

This song reminds me of my teenage years in the mid 90s when living in Cambridg-MA. Gosh, it´s so nostalgic it hurts my soul so deeply. Feels like a whole lifetime ago! I also relate to the lyrics so much, ´cause I´m a real outdoor type.

Great to finally hear the original. These guys remind me of the Hoodoo Gurus. Love the Aussie sound. So many amazing bands & artists from there. A shame so many (from anywhere actually) don't get the recognition or exposure they deserve to make it big. But I guess there are plenty that are happy to just the make music - & that's enough. Kudos to them.
