I thought the Lemonheads’ cover would fix that, but you gotta remember what the landscape looked like in that part of 1997

My absolute fave line too. When I play it live, I always chill out the guitar and slow it down to really give it some impact. Such a great feeling when people listen to it, and get a chuckle... often an ironic chuckle as for many in the crowd it would be a bit too close to home :)

i always think of an ex that would flip out if she didn’t watch the Saturday night Scifi channel line up both times (they always aired everything twice back then). A wise man who created many amazing and beautiful things wrote on a sign, “ I did all of this while you were watching television” (sic)

This song reminds me of my teenage years in the mid 90s when living in Cambridg-MA. Gosh, it´s so nostalgic it hurts my soul so deeply. Feels like a whole lifetime ago! I also relate to the lyrics so much, ´cause I´m a real outdoor type.

Always had a roof above me Always paid the rent. I never set foot inside a tent. Couldn't build a fire to save my life I lied about being the outdoor type I never slept out underneath the stars The closest that i come to that was one time my car, Broke down for an hour in the suburbs at night I lied about being the outdoor type To scared to let you know I knew what you've been looking for I lied until I fit the bill God bless the great indoors I lied about being the outdoor type, I've never owned a sleeping bag let alone a mountain Bike. I can't go away with you on a rock climbing weekend What if something's on TV and its never shown again It's just as well I'm not invited I'm afraid of heights I lied about being the outdoor type Finish Never learned to swim can't grow a beard or even fight I lied about being the outdoor type. Great to finally hear the original. These guys remind me of the Hoodoo Gurus. Love the Aussie sound. So many amazing bands & artists from there. A shame so many (from anywhere actually) don't get the recognition or exposure they deserve to make it big. But I guess there are plenty that are happy to just the make music - & that's enough. Kudos to them.

I guess they had no chances to become huge. The music is subtle and touching and such material is not for everyone. What they have managed to do is to touch the hearts of these few who understand and appreciate this kind of art.

Morgan also wrote 'into your arms' originally recorded it before the lemonheads too... Which was like, their biggest song beside mrs robinson.lol so to agree with whoever commented here, YES, THEY do do that way too much...
