To be fair G needs at least presidentiality lv 2 and one ex bar to keep you for that long in the air. Akira can land her v-skill launcher of her standing HP and f+HP CC and she builds both v-meter and ex meter from doing it.

The anti Air in this set from G was unreal and definitely a deciding factor in winning this set.

When you’re high level anti air is something that is not optional or forgotten so the real deciding factor is more that Kami wouldn’t stop jumping. He knew he was getting anti Airs but he still did it. Kamis fault.

@@HeWhoGoons But Kami is a good player. Smart enough to know not to keep jumping. So why did he? Because he had to. It's clear he was struggling on the ground with the range as akira's range is bad against most the cast. So jumping was his best option at getting in. Which is why the anti air was so important. It had nothing to do with being Kami's fault. Give Smug the respect he deserved.

@@DeaconHyral I’m obviously not discrediting smug in any way. Smug hit literally almost every anti air in the set. Im just saying it is kamis fault because even if your struggling with the ground game, you shouldn’t ever keep jumping on an opponent who: not only hits 90% of his anti airs, but also jump on a character that can mix you multiple ways after you land. And with a player of SMUGs caliber, It’s smarter to just play patient and not risk giving momentum to a character like G. Especially when you are playing a character with exceptional buttons, and thrives on the ground. Smugs play was immaculate. Kami didn’t want to take time on the ground that’s why he was jumping. He didn’t have to jump at all. If you play high level SF you are aware that there are many matchups where you will see maybe 2 or 3 jumps the entire set. Never recommended to jump just because you fear the ground game. As a matter of fact that’s probably the number one thing pro players tell new players to avoid if they are trying to play better.

Not lying, I am actually playing with Akira and she is really fun... however the design is garbage. I prefer V-Skill 1 since the EX fireball is doing a wall bounce and that hitbox is literally godlike. It literally whiff punish EVERYTHING with a great close-mid range... punish jumps to.
