You couldn't bind weapons to buttons until very recently, so quick-swap combos needed to be set up beforehand with the weapon wheel. Then it's made an extra step more awkward because there's a slight delay before the weapon wheel comes up.

On console you can decrease the delay to 70 milliseconds so it’s basically instant just memorize which direction to move the stick for what gun and then just practice

The ease with which he triggers the Dark Lord's green eyes is absolutely insane... most of the time he was just swinging the sword at me, charging at me or summoning tons of heavy demons. It took more than half an hour because he kept regenerating his health and I was getting really pissed off, but I wasn't afraid to die because I farmed tons of extra lives before. Eventually I did it, even if I had to restart the battle because the game crashed, but damn it was hard!

@@Symbiotian I meant gameplay wise, not plot excuses. It would have been awesome seeing ARC Marines following you around aiding you in your battle. Granted they wouldn't have lasted very long in the later levels but it's the allies that's the fun part

@@SolidSnake240 that's such a lame excuse to not include good aspects of the game. It's been repeated so many times to try and shuffle away the attention from stuff missing from the game. Well, according to the doom lore, the slayer fights with his fists - he doesn't need weapons either...why are they in the game? Simple: gameplay. Same logic applies to mechs. The slayer walking around in an ARC mech and just gunning down hordes of Imps and possessed. Sign me up!

The last Codex entry sounds paradox. If the blood on his sword never dries, then he is already needed for only a resting blade has dry blood on it. But the way they showed the end looks like he's being sealed/buried alive.
