This level was a ton of fun to figure out. Overall, there are three major parts to it: Getting a first item, pressing the p-switch on the left to free slot 7 and getting a suitable sprite in slot 7 to kill Reznor and all of them need different ideas.
Judging by the fact that I didn't use the reset door, I definitely must have broken something. I also didn't use the piranha plant or baby yoshi.

I also watched one of the kruela solutions yesterday and you eat-cancel-moved the lotus plant through half the bridge level which reminded me of the fact that the fire ball plant screams of such relocation as well.^^

My edgy pit hack will be started sooner or later... One screen puzzles are fun.

In that case, you better get started sooner than later. Building and polishing a pit hack can easily take you multiple years.

Well, what if I don't? 00:33 You could also move the jumping piranha plant to the left to get the p-switch, but why would you do that if you can just do Yoshi elevator? 01:00 This stunned pokey segment is such a weird sprite with so many uses.

Good job. I simply didn't know you could use the pokey to kill reznor, and that breaks the whole puzzle. Great.

Yeah the pokey usest the "number of killed Reznors" flag when you eat a segment of it. Getting a value of 3 or 4 was still a bit tricky, but I couldn't find another solution at the time. Now that I had another look at the sprite misc RAM, I see that you can kill Reznor by getting a red para koopa from the goal tape with an invisible Yoshi, which is honestly too awesome for it not to be intended.

1:14 Is there any way to apply a stun timer of 255 to an eat-canceled sprite if it is eat-canceled for more than two frames without using a single frame of eat-cancel?

I'm not aware of something that works in general, but in some specific cases, you can work around the issue of the sprite being eat-canceled: - Some sprites use the stun timer for something else, e.g. fish use it when swimming in water or outside the level (requires sprite buoyancy). - If you despawn the sprite you double tongude and then spawn a sprite into the same slot, then the later sprite won't be eat-canceled. This is used in the Reznor setup at the end of ARMAGEDDON for example: You eat cancel the yellow shell, despawn it, use it to get a yoshi stomp and then spawn a fish into the same sprite slot.
