What I would like to see in a drone is all the tools as shown in the video, also has survivability functionality to defend against attacks with Onboard lasers. If shot down, the drone has a self-destructed mechanism that fries everything so technology isn't turned over to the enemy !!!

I thought the US Navy was done with the LCS Freedom class since the ships have been having major problems with proprietary systems and extra expensive proprietary non Navy specialist servicing. What gives?

3D Printing has a massive application for Space Flight in the future especially as you can't take all your spares to the moon or mars but could print them in situ. but then there's probably a added difficulty to printing in zero g

BAE America is huge just like they are in Australia and Sweden. Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman Uk are also big there. Many Nato defense companies are in more than one country.

@@alessandrocolombero1881 Sì è un design Italiano (infatti c'è anche lo sticker di Leonardo sul proiettile), ma per vendere un prodotto militare negli Usa devi metterlo sotto un brand americano, oppure devi aprire una succursale Leonardo negli Usa, come hanno fatto Beretta e Fincantieri.

Davide B. Leonardo ha gia una filiale negli stati uniti che si chiama Leonardo DRS. Il proiettile Vulcano porta anche lo sticker della BAE Systems perche Leonardo ha collaborato con la parte americana della BAE Systems per intergrare il proiettile con il loro cannone navale Mk. 45.

Comunque è anche vero, parlando di altri procurement come quello di qualche tempo fa per l'addestratore avanzato per l'USAF, che il nome DRS rispetto a quello di altri contractor che operano sul mercato militare Usa è un nome un po' deboluccio. They likely decided to troll the bulb behind the ship likely like a fish lure or rely on a helicopter dipping sonar. Hydrophone arrays have shrunk enormously and are more like ribbon speakers instead of linier ransducers.

It was made in 3 version one for dog 1000, one for rail gun , and final one for 5 inch mk 54 naval gun

The reason the west like the Swiss 57mm naval gun is that it has a higher rate of fire the Italian 3inch, can carry more munition and was as effective as the Italian 3 gun with less weight Only I the 2000s with Italian smart ammunition did it take back the lead

Why are "guided munitions" far more cheap than guided missiles ???

Missiles have a booster, fuel, radar and guidance systems, a guided ammo can be produced in way more units than a missile because it’s cheaper (the more you produce them, the less they cost) and because they only need guidance system (IR/GPS) and only need basic control surfaces, plus in the case of the VOLCANO/DART ammo, they’re guided by the ship

sorry but... that is exactly as the SPANISH F1OO CLASS FRIGATES. How the dare to say it is fincantieri or from the US or I dont care. It is 90% as de spanish one. In fact, Spain was designin a new version of the F100 for the US Navy i think. Not Fincantieri
