Bad idea to have the ships built locally, as we have learned from the LCS fiasco, our local shipyards cannot be trusted with handling strategic assets, better to built all of them overseas for now. We should only consider building these ships locally once 5 or so vessels have been aqcuired from Turkey, our naval force has been severely degraded due to the delays of the LCS, never let it happen again.

Love the sleeker modern design, and the South Korean missiles are a good choice in a market of good choices. Only thing left is to get the Norwegian RBS system missiles for ssm sea skimming missiles and Malaysia will make people sit up in the Indo Pacific region.

No single country would give up their "Trump Card" technology such as the hydrogen bomb, which is why only Russia/USA/France/UK/China have the hydrogen bomb technology. They are the REAL nuclear powers that are respected and that is why they are the Permanent 5 of the UNSC. The same could be said for Hypersonic missile technology, which only USA/Russia/China and probably France/UK have it. India has to wait for the next 1000+ years to get these technologies just like the superpower by 2020 meme.🤭😏👌

I can understand using g these to replace older Sea Sparrow launchers on carriers. But heavy loading them on Burke destroyers seems to invite issues. Weight. Speed. Stability. If the US Navy needs more guided missile ships, then find a replacement for the Ticonderoga-class.
