Seward is crazy when you catch a big school coming into the channels. I’ve been there when the fish were literally jumping out of the water and smacking you in the face. All you had to do is dangle your treble hook in the water and they’d hook themselves. Fun video! Only 6 months to go and they’ll be back!!

What is the annual limit per person?

This is a saltwater fishery so the limit is 6 per day (freshwater is 3 per day). But once they reach escapement numbers they double the limit to 12 (6 in freshwater). It’s very easy to fill the freezer with this fishery!!!

Late May early June when they start coming in. 3 the limit unless they up it.
