I've been listening to Snak since 2010 now and for some - almost sad - reason I can relate to so many songs. The individual albums were always a recap of some of the things that happened to him at a time when I had to go through similar things myself. His songs saved me a lot of suffering because his words were already the results that what he went through and led to a better, quicker understanding. You don't trust people and that's okay. People trust you and your songs.

I don't listen to much rap, in fact I primarily listen to metal, but Snak is one of the few rap/hip hop artists I can truly appreciate. Been a fan since I discovered him in 2009. The old school beats you mentioned are an endearing quality, but most of all what I love is the depth in his lyrics, poetic and intelligently crafted. The fact that he hardly ever uses similes, which to me are an immediate turn off when I hear them because they're overused, lazy, and almost always devoid of any meaning.

I'm really glad I went back to music I used to listen to. I really needed this. I hate when ppl say that but it's true. I've been having a real rough time lately. Dad died in June and mom is back in a mental institution. I haven't had a chance to grieve properly and it's proven to be dangerous. I almost swallow a 7mm mag with my brain mouth. Luckily my wife called the police and I was taken to the same mental health facility my mom was. I talked my way out after 8 hours. This has nothing to do with this song.
