Well, Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow in the original marvel comics run started out as rivals, so it's been a tradition since. I mean, they never fought each other during the Sunbow animated series. And besides, no Cobra agent can match Snake-eyes. So they have to give him someone who can match him

CosmoShidan That is obviously true that they never fought in the original cartoon but I'd like to point out that just about most people seem to be under the impression that they never had absolutely anything to do with one another in the original cartoon from Sunbow. It *IS* pretty insignificant but they did appear together twice: one is a scene in "Cobra's Candidate" where Storm Shadow gives Buzzer a letter while Snake Eyes is locked up, and the other is in the "Revenge of Cobra" opener where Snake Eyes kicks Storm Shadow in the back while the narrator is talking. I just have to point that out because I've seen almost no one mention it.

when the flames started to spit thru the floor below snake eyes, tht looked a bit lame, aside from that the only discrepancy is that snake eyes was implied to b so dominant, than lookd so vulnerable during the middle battles. Snake eyes is the bomb, so revise that. In the end snake eyes kicked arse, as does this animation, overall awesome

I was into Ninja Turtles and weapons during first and second grade. During one of those Christmas days my parents got me a Snake Eyes/ Storm Shadow Doll bundle with this DVD included. I had no idea what GI Joe was or who these characters were. I just thought "oooh. Ninjas. Cool." I had the DVD on in the background while I just played with the dolls. Didn't pay attention to it. About three years later I actually watch the DVD for the first time and think "What the fuck is this?" The animation was awful, the action was dull, and the characters looked dumb. I think I had more engaging and entertaining stories that I made up with the dolls.
