I remember being so frustrated by this boss when I was a kid. I misunderstood the hint about him in the instructions, and thought he would regenerate if you missed... so I found a spot that was never hit by boulders, and hit him twice every time he went by. This did not work, and left me assuming that they made it unbeatable.

Also, how did you make it to where you were so close to the foot without getting hit?

I was using the d-pad, if you notice you don't have to be perfectly in line with the boss, you can position yourself next to him and hit him, try to follow his path as best you can without stopping hitting him.

As you can see from the video you have to be very quick to deal damage, you don't have to stop even for a second

How many times did you have to hit the boss for them to die?

This is the frustrating thing, there doesn't seem to be a number of hits to kill. What matters is how quick you are to hit without giving the boss a break.

@@edoardomaster So, as an Xbox player playing this game on Rare Replay, do you think turbo might help me with that problem? Legit have spent 5 hours on just this boss.

@@danielrussell4993 I understand you, he is a frustrating boss, anyway, yes I think a turbo mode can help, alternatively you can use the rewind function at the moment you die, but I remember that at the time I didn't succeed with this method.
