If the ball touches upper portion - bet on top spin, no matter what
@ragnarblackmane60243 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that tip. I'm training the serve now and hope to have it somewhat ready once the team-practice starts again. At my level even if the movement not that fluent it could make me some points as its the deceptive opposite to my regular backspin serves.
@vvvvvvv4042 жыл бұрын
how is it going?
@ragnarblackmane60242 жыл бұрын
@@vvvvvvv404 sadly it didn't fool anyone, might be because it is also very short and slow. nowhere close to what Adam does. maybe because i play non catapulty harder rubbers as more of a block player. but it was fun to try.
@dmitripogosian50842 жыл бұрын
@@ragnarblackmane6024 That's what I thought (as a pure amateur) - you seem to need really soft rubber to get much of spin from a ball free-fall. And then, how to get any speed ?
@marcoborrillo80973 жыл бұрын
I've actually used this serve, but you do it 1,000 times better. I used to toss the ball high and then let it hit the racket, creating some topspin. But I went down with the racket at contact just a little, so it ended up being a dead ball. I used to call this "heavy nothing" becuase I made a huge underspin motion but it was really dead. Now what you are doing is letting it hit your racket without moving, so instead of dead ball it becomes pure topspin. But even watching the replay, it is amazing but you are so quick to begin the downward motion that the eye cannot see it. It really looks like you are chopping the ball. Heck, you even fooled Timo Boll. You are world class at this.
