I swear these guys make bold takes for engagement. A playoff featuring Indiana, BYU, Boise State, and a Notre Dame team who lost at home to NIU is not what 12-team advocates or any fan had envisioned. We were promised the expansion would give us more high profile matchups, but if Bud Elliot-types get their way, we'll see snooze fests and participation trophies for teams who succeeded on the backs of weak schedules until the best team from Big10 and SEC meet each other like they would have anyway.

Great show , the only VOLS loss came 1 day after the worst deadly storm to hit the Tennessee / NC valley . It’s my opinion our team lost focus and was not thinking of the game . Just my opinion

The difference between great teams and championship teams is simple. Great teams will lose players during a game and lose the game. The coach and players say well if we hadn't lost this and that player we would've won, but we finished strong, it was a moral victory.( shades of winners at life). Championship teams in the same situation find a way to win regardless. Like the Marines, you improvise, adapt, and overcome, and find a way to win. It's a total team effort. In my opinion, Coach Josh has the team mentally at that level. Not worried about Saturday. Think the Vols will go to Athens, unleash Hell, and come home victorious. GBO!!!!

Two things I'm so tired of ; "power rankings," which aren't power rankings, Josh Pate, they're "favorite logo rankings," and our offense putting us in a position in which we are valued less than teams we've beaten. But the GREAT NEWS is that, one, our guys had THREE fewer penalties, 6 total, than they averaged before the State game and, two, great teams improve each week and they continue to find a way to win. IF we're great, we will find a way. I just don't see us beating Georgia this weekend.

The Arkansas game hurt bad... we did not learn from that game. We picked up the W against Bama which really helped and saved us. We have to beat or keep it close. If we get blown out then we are in trouble. 2 loss Tennessee will not get in over a 2 loss Bama or a 2 loss Georgia, even tho we have a win over Bama.

If we end up with the same record as multiple other teams, it’s pretty simple: who beat who head to head? Whatever team name comes out of your mouth in response to that question, is the answer to who makes it in, & who ends up left out. If one team makes it and the other doesn’t, there’s no world in which they would be behaving in a fair & practical manner by choosing to take Alabama and insert them into the playoffs when we’ve beaten them H2H and the other common opponent we will have shared, Vandy, would be a win for us, at least in the 10-2 scenario, cause I don’t see any world in which we beat Georgia and then manage to lose to Vandy.

Because they’re the projected ACC champions, & I’m fairly certain that’s one of the non-negotiable shoe-in’s; the power 4 conference champions are going to get the top 4 seeds. . . Unless Boise State manages to finish ranked above the ACC or the Big12 champion, in which case they could swing the 4th “auto bid” into the lap of Boise State, and the ACC/Big12 champion would end up falling somewhere between the 5th & 12th seed
