I may be wrong, but I think that this is the best quality upload of this video yet. Definitely one of my favorite original bmx freestyle vids.

I had a barely played VHS copy so it was in pretty good shape for being 30 years old. Hopefully I can keep tracking down good copies of the early vids and more unseen contest stuff!

Respect to the forefathers for going through this era. Thank progression that this era has passed. I'm 46 riding skateparks and street for around 30 yrs.

This reminds me of a video I had as a kid called "Freestylin" , it could even be the same video renamed, or some of the same footage was used. My dad took me to one of those traveling BMX shows when I was 4 or 5, I think at the AZ state fair around '89 or '90. Soon after that I was pedaling around the Chandler BMX track, and I haven't stopped looking for sweet jumps since.

Always loved how the flight sprocket looked on those SR one piece cranks, I ran that set up once, around 88, inspired by Brian, and had to bore out the sprocket to do so, good times of experimentation and learning!

Anyone remember the issue where a couple of the riders from GT or Dyno were doing tricks on dirt bikes?

Love your videos, excellent quality! Closest thing to when I actually saw them first, the audio is super clean as well, do you do any processiing of A/V?

My friend does it for me so i really dont know the process. I do know he does a great job especially on some of the old videos that are pretty grimey and have not been played for years!

Indeed he does! I was wondering if you ever saw the video Trend Bike Source put out in 1990, it was more than an hour long, started with Lee Sultimier riding to " Boogie Nights" by Heatwave, also features ruben castillo, dave sheppard, perry mervar and kevin jones at the final segment, debuting hitchhiker whips, and introducing Chase Gouin! I even asked Perry Mervar about it a while back on FB and he did'nt recall the video lol. It was cool though, had a similar vibe as the bully video/ultimate weekend video, but with more riding. It also featured a sick mini ramp session at a 2hip KOV they held in Indiana I think ( the same contest were Matt debuted the backflip fakie in a contest, in america at least). If you have that one please post, I had it on tape, but a very bad copy, never saw the original anywhere.
