Emily and Ed have even said how much Rex has improved over the time they've had her, more than they thought possible. No, she'll never be a normal sized or shaped gator, but she's improved enough to be able to enjoy catching fish in her pool, and living a much better life, mentally and physically.

I was outside getting ready to go when a man and his son called to me from their golf cart. They said that there was a snake in the middle of the street, and maybe they ran over it... I rushed down after they drove away, expecting to find a basking garter snake... instead I saw a very confused copperhead. I’m so glad they told me instead of picking it up... they would’ve been bitten for sure... just something cool... it was a beautiful snake... wish it was a garter though, so I could’ve moved it out of the street...
