Hey Jon, for the position @ 23:06 where you hit the reverse leg drag, how would you negotiate that pass if he were also holding the sleeve of your arm over which his leg was lasso'd? In this case your right arm (instead of your right ankle.) Also, I can't see your grip on the leg on the far side (your left), but how are you clearing his leg from b/t yours?
@JonThomasBJJ3 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy if he has my sleeve right his right hand it’s no longer de la riva and you can’t really do the reverse leg drag there so it’s a complete different position. I would try to loop out of the lasso then. The main thing to always remember is you have to choose the techniques that are available not what you want, no matter how good I am at the reverse leg drag I can’t do it if the situation isn’t correct.
@DJBiermann3 жыл бұрын
@@JonThomasBJJ This may not make a difference in your answer, but I meant if he kept the DLR hook but moved his left hand from your right pant grip to your right sleeve. In that case you'd loop out as if it were a deeper lasso I presume? Getting stuck in that HQ position with the short lasso is a major roadblock for me so any tips there are welcome!
@JonThomasBJJ3 жыл бұрын
@@DJBiermann yeah same answer basically when they switch to the sleeve it’s a very different series. Watch my video on passing collar sleeve lasso
