Did OSU take the safeties they did, with McNutt still on the board, simply because they didn’t want to wait on him? They’ve waited on players in the past and missed so was this a correction in recruiting?

I think you’re onto something - can’t keep missing out on high 4 or 5 star players, and have to settle for 3 stars or transfers. It seems like OSU has finally accepted the reality of what CFB is now and is fully embracing it

From the start OhioState wanting 4 Safeties in the class possibly 5. At this point you have to get players in the boat that want to be here. What ever the hold up is with McNutt thats for him and his family to unpack but OhioState cant put themselves in position to be left at that alter. Aslong as you build a genuine relationship like with Caleb Downs who knows you might get them in the portal down the line. These past two classes currently are amazing at top quality as far as DBs goes.

They got the best safety in the country in my opinion. He's the one I wanted out of all the safeties. Yes over McNutt Ransom and Hickman? Come on fellas could of came with a better comparison tho...... 🤷 This secondary class is ridiculous!!!!!! And if they do get Brew or/& McNutt 😮 Now it's time to get those big boys on the line.
