Upgrading to Snapon myself after m12 battery problems. 6 mos of regular use as a mechanic and started having issues. Some I guess are rougher on tools and need something more durable than plastic. Plastic tabs break just by putting them in and regularly or dropping them. They also just loose tension at first it just makes them easier to remove from the tool without having to squeeze as hard then they get loose and you have to push on the bottom of them to make the tool work. Not had any fall out but its only a matter of time.

Honestly I have over 9 Milwaukee batteries and about 7 tools and I've never had a issue with a Milwaukee battery or tool. The only 2 issues I had is the hog ring came off my 3/8 stubby and on my m12 battery clip broke. It's the clip that holds the battery together. That was my fault from dropping it. I just super glued it together. Also when my hog ring fell off the stubby I sent it back under warranty. Milwaukee sent me a brand new stubby over a freaking hug ring. Unbelievable customer service. It crazy because everything you stated about Milwaukee I had the total opposite experience. All the way down to getting a new tool over a hug ring. I think Milwaukee's out to get you.

@@KoonTrucking This is, in large part, due to Milwaukee selling tools at a 50 to 1 ratio of tool truck brands. These days mainly fan boys are the only ones left paying 3 times the price for a lower quality and weaker tool. Also Snap-on's warranty isn't as good as Milwaukee's so that is another reason you don't see them broken on the truck.

I've had dewalt 18v stuff for about 5 years. Working construction and dropping them, throwing them in the truck. All scraped and gouged up. No issue with the batteries falling out or losing connection. Just the bats simply giving out after several years

Only thing I don't like is the 3/8 has a ring to hold the socket, which it doesn't do very good. The 1/2 has a pointy socket detent. Which puts a death grip on the socket. Need a pen or something small to push it to release the socket.

I can live with most of that stuff but man the vibration causing battery to disconnect or in the stubby 12 volt case fall out of the tool completely, it drive me nuts

Clay I finally got to play with one of those streamlight wedge lights and like the package said, shut the high off right at 35 seconds and went to dim. It did however come back in high once I shut it off and turned it back on for another 35 seconds. Think it’s a safety built in to compensate for from heat from battery discharge. Cool little light though. Did pick up the syclone though and it’s a bad little light. I’ve needed something like that for some time now.

My issue is my stubby impacts have spent more time being sent back than in the shop and i can’t keep a battery in them because of the vibration and they fall out. My 2767 if you point it down the battery goes forward and it won’t even run. The light will come on but nothing else. You have to use a battery strap on them. And to top of off they JUST CAME BACK FROM WARRANTY! My hammer drill is the 1/2” m18 and it was so crappy it was sent off 3 times and Joe just gave me a new one off the truck this last time because it came back and put a battery on it and pointed it down to the ground and nothing…. Wouldn’t do squat. Hold it regular and it runs or point it up and it runs. Shake it, nothing. Shake it again and it runs.

I have to say we haven't had any problems with our Milwaukee tools so far and everything is the Milwaukee fuel series and mostly now the brushless stuff M18 and some M12 tools... Our batteries are mainly 9 amp and 12 amp for the M18 fuel tools and they're heavy and yes I've heard other people and even local people that has had a problem here and there with their Milwaukee stuff and I guess we better knock on wood with ours because they're used everyday in the body shop and collision repair business.... If we ever have a problem with any of the Milwaukee tools then I would admit to it most definitely but it would still be replaced by another Milwaukee tool without any hesitation... As far as DeWalt tools, we like the tools but never could get any life out of their batteries and always made sure they were charged properly but battery life just never seemed to work in our favor with a DeWalt and air is primary to begin with in body Shop work and mechanic type work but the air tools will always be Snap-On and they absolutely cost a fortune but they're worth every penny

M-12 battery little plastic ears do break off Loses connection. The vibration of the gun will rattle the battery out, I don't hold the trigger that long for that reason. I thought about buying one of those eBay m12 Knock off batteries. For the case. I just can't part with my Milwaukee stubbies i’ve only broken two of my m-12 batteries use them for my radio

If you will look online you will see plenty of posts and blogs and comments about the battery issues. The m12 stubby the design can’t handle the vibration of the tool and it causes the battery to fall out or drop down enough to loose connection. I have no issue with Milwaukee in fact if you will look at the torque tests I do the Milwaukee is clearly the winner every time on every tool we test. It is what it is, I just tell people what I know because of use. I’m not sponsored by MILWAUKEE or Snap On and don’t own stock in either company. Makes me ZERO difference how people spend their money. I just tell people so nobody is shocked when it happens.

@@KoonTrucking I think that Milwaukee has a major design flaw that there ignoring because of the positive feedback from the many customers who don't have this problem so they've yet to develop a fix for it , it's alot like the shockwave bits where they have a major flaw that Milwaukee completely ignores because of good feedback
