SNAPPED CURTAIN POLE MESS ABOUT!!

This morning I had a breakdonw first job for a 'bent' curtain pole mon a double deck trailer. When I arrived we found thsat the pole was actually snapped! I wasn't prepared for the absolute mess around that we had to deal with while trying to get a replacement pole. We had to return in the morning and get it replaced.

I hate that metal supermarket, the manager guy is a proper toilet. I went in once for some pipe for an exhaust to cut centre silencer out and I said “I’m after some 54mm pipe for an exhaust” and rather than just say “yep I think I’ve got some of that I’ll just check” Instead he comes out with “you don’t get pipe in that size, pipe starts at 150mm, what you want is tube” I felt like hitting him with some tube the way he came out with it. Knew what I wanted but then thinks talking to me like shit is the right thing to do. Second time I ordered some bar online ‘cause it was cheapest and closest got it back and it was like a banana for what I wanted it for so went to take it ba k and swap it for something better and the lads on counter were unbelievable. Guy who was cutting was brill and came out and explained and asked if it could just be swapped but because I’d ordered it online they had to phone head office to authorise the return to which I got a response of “this is a proper ballache, I’ll try ring them” and I’m stood there thinking “it’s your job” then when I asked how much it would be he was shocked that I wanted to pay for it now before id got a refund for the other bar. Complete jokes mate. So in end I had to email for a refund, return the bar to that one I picked it up from, for them to say yes we’ve got it to then get a refund. I avoid it as much as I can and go to metal superstore in cleckheaton, it’s further but I’ve never had issues

@@TheSelfEmployedSpannerMonkey the shitty thing about them is they’re not actually metal supermarket if I remember correctly, they’re a franchise so it’s down to each individual place what goes on but yeah he’s a total arsehole and for that I’d rather drive past it and even further just to not give them my money ‘cause quite frankly, they don’t deserve it.
