He is one of my preferred bassists, as inventive in solos as unexpected in composition... His heart wide open Snarky Puppy is not only a great music band, they also are an example of beautiful atmosphere, respecting and supporting each other... I love them

I've seen this for more than a couple of times and this is the only time I noticed how much the drummer, percussionist, and two keyboardists added to what ML was doing from 5:00 onwards. Mad props!

This is why recordings from the soundboard are just infinitely better than mikes or goddamn cellphones. There were rattling tea cups I could hear better than the man's bass. (But thanks for capturing this anyway, since no one else seems to have thought of doing so.)

***** At first it looks Gillespie Pouches. It's a real condition named after Jazz great Dizzy Gillespie. But Chris doesn't seem to have it in his cheeks. It's just air passing into his neck while he's playing. His neck is probably just as normal as ours, except when he's playing!
