I cannot get enough of this. I've been listening to it about 2 times a day since I discovered it about 4 days ago. I'll call out the guitar solo trading starting around 6:30. At one point the drummer can be seen with a huge grin. I think he may have been enjoying it more than anyone else. Typically not a fan of guitar wank-offs; I think it is fair to say this is anything but. Also at 59:10 when the rhythm section modulates tempo is just masterful. These guys have achieved a level of musical mastery hitherto unknown.

Right, some great stuff. As long as it's not just technical masturbation. Love the Van Halen t-shirt and the Jaco ending "shave and haircut". The piano right after cool too. Having two guitarist seems right here ;>

I agree with all that! He gets weird enough to stray from the straight 16th note or 32nd “watch how much metronome I have played to” a lot of guitarists fall into. I’m only about 15 min, so now you’ve got me primed for 59:10. Much love to other Snarky Puppy fans. These guys inspire me all the time.

There are so many influences you can hear. Allow me to direct your attention to King Crimson's "Red". Not that I have any problem with that. In opposite I enjoy every reminescence I discover. What a great band! One of the most exciting things is to see they have much fun together on stage and respect for each other. And they have so much energy. As a guitarist myself I want to say that I really like what these two guys do on their instruments. It's not only the technical perfection but the abundance of ideas and the tasteful melodic and harmonic playing. I'm thrilled and impressed.

My favorite classical composer is Bach. His melodic/lyrical writing makes him special to me. If i could some how bring JSB to 2022, once i got him to stop hyperventilating about...well...everything, for obvious reasons, id put a very good set of headphones on him. Id play Awaken by Yes first, the opening will give him a little familiarity. As soon as Awaken is done, we'd take a snarky trip down the rabbit hole.
