That was amazing. From a big band funky shuffle to an orchestral symphony to a beautiful piano solo that all worked together is awesome. Life is too short not to listen to great music.

Thank you so much for this choice. Long time Snarky fan, by far and away my favorite band and for me this song sits firmly in the "if you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life" position. A total journey. The look on Mike's face during Bill's piano solo captures a moment of zen that makes my eyes water every time ❤️. My musical life changed after discovering this band.

See at this point, and with the stuff from their new album Empire Central, the answer when someone asks who's your favorite overall music group these days, it's really now "Oh you mean besides Snarky Puppy?" They've gotten me to that point I think. :)

Mine is 'Oh you mean mean besides Snarky Puppy and Animals as Leaders?' If you haven't checked them out you totally should, much darker but even more technical.

Four of the best solos you'll ever hear. I haven't been able to listen to any other band for about a year.

The alternate take of this ...JUST GOT RELEASED YESTERDAY!!! Not to react, but seriously sit down and watch it from beginning to end. It's a new mix...and Jay (trumpet). Mike (Bass) and Cory (Keys) did different solos. It's magical. Here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXiQmIufebV6brs

I think there are 5 key changes in the trumpet solo? They didn't expect Jay to hit them all (flugelhorn solo) but he nailed every single one.

Love it man! That opening section is sweet! 5/8 is one of my favorites. Love the Primus and King Crimson reference too. I could listen to that piano player all day. He has incredible touch. Totally agree on your analysis.👌🏼 Check out Hiromi’s Sonicbloom: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqW5o4uKmaqVfJI kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYa4lHurrpZlkLM

To truly appreciate the significance of this piece you really need to listen/watch the entirety of SYLVA in one seating. This is a suite of music written (all parts) and arranged by Michael League with the help of Jules Buckley.
