Tears in my eyes. That piano part, going from jazz to Debussy to I have no idea what... It's just too much.

Probably my favorite Snarky Puppy piece. It's everything I love about the band in one track.

This whole album, as a matter of fact! That's probably the best thing ever recorded, alongside with Pink Floyd's Live at Pompeii

The first time I listened to The Curtain, I was almost "in bits". As you said, its got everything. Jay Jennings's trumpet solo is swinging, and attacks. Then the brass, percussion, everything gets dirty, Se✕y as hell. If someone made a movie to fit, it'd be adult-only! Bill Laurance's long piano piece 💗, then into that lush orchestral climax and end. My Goosebumps had Chills. 😅 If you like the movie "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (my favourite Western), and you haven't listened, then maybe react to: _The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (Live)_ kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5_YgHSoesukfdE It's beautifully arranged and performed, and the "WahWah Lady" is great! 😀 Ennio Morricone on a shoestring budget. Very clever, and very different from 'traditional' Western movie music. Best Wishes. ☮

The alternate take of this ...JUST GOT RELEASED YESTERDAY!!! Not to react, but seriously sit down and watch it from beginning to end. It's a new mix...and Jay (trumpet). Mike (Bass) and Cory (Keys) did different solos. It's magical. here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXiQmIufebV6brs

You can pretty much just hand these guys a Grammy every time they release a new album.

The first time I watched and heard The Curtain I felt like I was on a roller coaster. I have since watched it at like 60 times this year. Facts.

I was not prepared for that Piano. I heard it for the first time and when i starts i thought, this is what i want. Funky grooves at its finest. So i am sitting here, bobbing my head and tapping with my foot. But it stops and... do you know the feeling when tears are running down your cheeks but you are not actually crying? It is a weired feeling, not sadness or joy, u just cant hold it back.

Yess! Its more like, a certain pack of emotions that were buried just come out through the portal of another dimension that they created by playing radical solos worthy of stank face.

Actually The Curtain is part of a suite of music written (all parts) and primarily arranged by Michael League. The suite is called SYLVA. It is best heard in it’s entirety in one sitting.

Hey Stanky! Fun fact, Octavarium is 23:59 cuz if it's played on loop, it looks like a clock but a second is a minute The story ends where it began, the theme of the song continued throughout, every place they could

Wow! And Cory off I'm his own world with that blissful smile on his face! This group is just top tier. I can think of no one better right now in music. My opinion folks. No bad music ever. I love the piano- ok by me more of that in their music

Awesome! This is a really cool piece, and it's nice to see Michael take a solo every once in a while! Speaking of bass solos, you should react to "Béla Fleck & The Original Flecktones - "Sinister Minister" - Mountain Jam" at some point.
