This is the first song I let my son hear of snarky puppy. He was 4 at the time and Shaun’s part in this song brought him so much happiness. so much so, it brought him to tears of joy. My son is 12 now, an incredible drummer and loves playing synthesizers. Snarky Puppy has been one of our favorite bands ever since we discovered this song years ago. The power of music is amazing. We were so saddened by the news of his passing but we want to Thank you Shaun for your gift and influence. Rest in Heaven sir. 🤍

Sharing this in light of the recent sad news: This was the first song I’d ever heard by snarky puppy and my attention was undoubtedly grabbed due to Shaun Martins playing and solo. I remember it so vividly. It was a weekend before a marching band contest in 2012 and we were doing our stretches before our rehearsal on our high school football field. We always had music playing during this time on a radio or speaker of some sort and this day my band director just happened to be playing this song. I remember hearing the keys and turning around to my best friend to give him the look of “are you hearing this right now?” And of course he was already looking at me laughing because clearly we were thinking the same thing. As soon as stretches were over we both went up to our director to ask what song and group that was and that’s how we discovered one of our absolute favorite bands together. We saw them live in Dallas at least three times together after that. Unfortunately my friend is also no longer here but it gives me more peace knowing now he can jam with Shaun Martin up above. ❤️ R.I.P. Shaun Martin

I've seen this video a million times, but for some reason today, I started crying when I got to the end. I can't explain how or why music touches me the way it does, but I'm always incredibly moved by how musicians pour their souls into their craft. They give their all just to give us 6 minutes of auditory pleasure. It's incredible to me!

These guys talked about the writing of this song at a workshop they did near me a while back. They said that the original groove for the chorus was a standard 4/4 beat with the snare on 2 and 4, and actually played it that way for us... crazy how something as simple as a snare on the downbeat can completely take a song from 'pretty good' to 'sweet, decadent ear candy.'

I have never once ever been FEELING MYSELF as much as that man was with his solo at the end. AMAZING

When society returns back to normal, AND IT WILL, I truly look forward to seeing these guys play Live! I only hope they'll still do it as Cosy like This performance was. ❤️

I was bored, exercising on my instrument, decided to take a break, got on this masterpiece, leaved it with a smile and a warm sensation of well being as well as the will to struggle with mountains. Must have been at least the 50th time I'm listening to these genius and Shaun Martin ... you are an all time inspiration. Thank you. One day I will transcribe all your work in this tune. I'm getting back on my guitar, see you very soon gents :)

The groove from 3:44 has been my all time favorite: it accents beat 1 and 2 and to me it sounds like heart beat - a perfect match for the significantly touching melody whilst providing brilliant impulse to drive the movement..

How long will we miss Shaun while listening to this song? He will continue to breathe with us with this song, but I don't think it will be easy to overcome this great sadness. R.I.P My Hero.

Like many of you guys, I put this music video on whenever I need to push me up. This incredible joy being displayed by both the artists and the audience, the disbelief of beauty in the eyes of those who did not expect something wonderful is just unique. I mean, I listened to millions of wonderful tracks but this one hear brings literally everything together. When you feel down, just put this one up and everything gets better. Pure bliss.
