Would I be able to use an MPK mk3 mini directly connected to my Analog Rytm MK2 with usb to control it?

I was really happy, but sampling only in stereo? Not in mono or stereo, if stereo it is not possible which channel you want to keep at the end, in mono? I didn't think that the lack of this function would pull me down so much. Did I miss something?

Pretty sure it has mono sampling as well

digitakt really sounds like ass just like the first one and the octatrack. not sure if it's terrible converters or what, but the sound lacks dynamics and presence in all of these machines. i will say that machinedrum sampling sounds pretty good (12 bit maybe?) and the monomachine and digitone both sound nice. something about elektrons sampling machines leaves a lot to be desired

Yeah this guy gets it, its all in the user. Definitely agree your DT probably sounds ass. Sorry mate, not much you can do to help that.

well everyone's ass sounds different. it's been proven many times, even scientifically, that the same 'oh bad convertes' Octatrack gives 1:1 recordings. but people seem to trust their asses, thus, ears. most FX are crap on Octa, that's true. but how can you judge Digi2 in this video, with so many FX and over youtube (to speak about compression for instance), that's beyond me

@@yurijogurtsov8710 not just the KZbin compression. I’ve owned these machines and passed them on for this reason. old school samplers are way more dynamic even. the 1010 Blackbox fidelity is much more honest to my ears. it’s a shame since elektron sequencers are top notch and so much fun

@@boogway same here, I owned all the old ones, still have 2 (!) Octas, Digi2 incoming. old samplers are what they are - it's not about honest sound, but about 'special' thing. why then not just buy the SP1200, or poor Isla's S2400 digital emulation and call it a day!? ;) what I can't understand how do you ask for both fidelity and low bit rate. c'mon, it's either old warmth or modern hifi. now, the 1010Blackbox which is right before me, has a noise floor worse than the 1960s analogue consoles. so sorry but I have to doubt your judgement. there's no problem with my (second!) unit, every owner has it, but a few wants to admit. nor does the company. and don't get me started on their UI and FW changes. 1010music is to be ashamed for the h/w components on this machine

@@boogway but then there's still a better solution than having an old quirky 'mojo' sampler.. if you like the sequencer and other cool new functions in Elektrons, just run those through some good analog chain (like I do), and you get mojo in spades, with more control and flexibility, plus you can use it for other boxes, for mixing or even home-made mastering, depending on the box. Culture Vulture is a good place to start imo
