My understanding of the cited reference in Malachi is that the Lord is referring to that generation, who were, in fact, wicked according to the Lord in the record. It is my choice to leave that judgement and that punishment in the Lord’s hands, for I am not yet wise enough to weigh the hearts of all Israelites. Thank you.

Rabbi Richman, this is wonderful. I retired last year and started reading the Tanakh. I finished the Torah and have just started reading Joshua. The Torah goes into alot of detail about the construction of the Tabernacle, the outer and inner courtyards, the alter, the holy instruments of the Leviim and the Holy of Holies. But it's still difficult to visualize so the New Temple Institute brings it closer to reality. May it be rebuilt speedily in our days.

The sacrifices aren't necessary for Christians, but the rebuilding of the Temple is necessary in fulfilling Yeshua's prophesy about the anti-Christ sitting IN the temple. Pray for the rebuilding of the Temple since it is necessary for Yeshua to return again.

My fellow Christians need to learn the Scriptures. Jews on the whole know their Scriptures much more profoundly deeply and intimately than Christians do. And in fact, our own New Testament is a thoroughly Jewish collection of texts. And it contains a “rule for all the congregations” that says that Jews should remain Jews (i.e., halachically Jewish and Torah-observant) and that non-Jews should remain non-Jews (i.e., not halachically Jewish and thus not obligated to the whole of Torah). It says that it’s not who you are (Jew or Gentile) that matters; it’s keeping God’s commandments (mitzvot) that’s important. See 1 Corinthians 7:17-19. And of course, it’s talking about keeping God’s commandments that apply to you as a Jew or as a Gentile. Different people have different obligations to different commandments of God at different times and in different places. And that has always been the case. Jews have a God-given responsibility, as Jews, to more of the Torah than non-Jews have. This is a fact that is plainly evident in both the Hebrew Scriptures and in our New Testament Scriptures (see Acts chapters 15 and 21, for example).

In short, this means that we Christians should not be trying to get Jews to quit following God’s Torah that he blessed them with and told them to follow throughout their generations forever. Sadly, neither the commenters nor the speaker know the truth of what was being said in the Bible/Torah. The third temple is the believers in Jesus Christ who get filled with the presence OF Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. All scripture is being fulfilled right now and will be fulfilled for Jacob beginning in the next few weeks or months. The plumbline or measuring reed actually refers to Jesus Christ himself. All "houses" of God, all "rooms" of the New Jerusalem are measured by the standard that Jesus Himself set when He walked the earth. This means that when the man walks through the "Third Temple", the "New Jerusalem" in Ezekiel 40, measuring each dimension, He is actually measuring each of those destined to become the New Jerusalem by the standard which He demonstrated and modeled, which is one of mercy and compassion towards others. Those destined to become the New Jerusalem learn to show compassion and mercy toward others through a 7 year period wherein they go through trial after trial daily and nightly. It is continual. Failure to conform to the standard has consequences. Amos 7:8 8 And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: This passage shows that the Jewish people have a determined length of time to meet that standard set by Jesus - mercy and compassion. You see, there is only a short period of time for the Jewish people to come up to the standard before it is over.

The Temple of God was on the hillock of Ophel! Numerous passages of scripture in the Old Testament, and several in the New Testament, provide geographical landmarks (e.g. names of gates, pools, etc), and geo-directional (compass) points (north, east, south, west), which function as geographical coordinates of sorts, for the location of Solomon's Temple. The scriptures in the Old Testament of the Bible overwhelmingly prove that Solomon's Temple was located on the hillock of Ophel (e.g. Nehemiah 3:1-32; 3:15; 3:26-27; 12:37; 1 Kings 8:64; 2 Kings 15:35; 2 Chronicles 7:7; 27:3; 32:5; 32:30; 33:14; Isaiah 22:9-11). The information in the New Testament, particularly in the book of Acts, infers that Herod's Temple complex was next to or 'abutting' the Roman Fortress Antonia, and was at a 'lower elevation' than the Roman Fortress Antonia, which also infers that Herod's Temple was next to and on the 'south' side of the Roman Fortress Antonia (John 5:2; 9:7; Acts 21:30-32; 21:35; 21:37; 21:40; 22:24; 23:10; 23:16; 23:20; 23:32). Several passages of prophetic scriptures on the time of the end explicitly state or infer that the Third Temple of God will be constructed on the 'holy place' (i.e. on the site of the 'threshing floor' that King David bought from Ornan (a.k.a. Araunah) the Jebusite because the threshing floor must have a smooth surface to allow flailing of cereal grain, and the ground of the threshing floor should also be slightly sloped in order to permit rapid drainage of water in wet weather. The protruding rock under the Dome of the Rock renders this location unsuitable for a 'threshing floor' which requires a smooth and level surface. Therefore, the protruding rock under the Dome of the Rock precludes the possibility of that area being the threshing floor that King David bought from Ornan (a.k.a. Araunah) the Jebusite. The current falsely named Temple Mount is the site of the Roman Fortress Antonia which was nicknamed 'the Rock' because the protruding rock that is now under the Dome of the Rock was located within the boundaries of the Roman fortress. An octagonal Christian church building was later constructed above this protruding rock, which became known as the Dome of the Rock. The Dome of the Rock was originally a Christian church building, but was converted to an Islamic mosque 🕌 following the conquest of Jerusalem by Muslims. The obvious presence of the 'abominable' Islamic inscriptions on the Dome of the Rock, and the Islamic moon crescent 🌙 (symbol of ancient Baal) on its top and on several other Islamic shrines and the mosque 🕌 on the current falsely named Temple Mount, which have been in place for the past 1,300+ years, preclude the possibility of the current falsely named Temple Mount from being the location of the 'holy place' which was spoken of by prophet Daniel (Matthew 24:15), because God would not permit these 'abominations' to stand on the 'holy place' for the past 1,300+ years! The 'abomination of desolation' which was spoken by prophet Daniel (Daniel 8:13-14; 9:27; 11:31; 12:11), is most likely the Islamic moon crescent 🌙 (symbol of ancient pagan deity named Hu-Baal), which will be placed on the 'wing' (i.e. extremity or outermost edge or pinnacle, but mistranslated as 'overspreading' in Daniel 9:27 KJV), on the yet to be built Third Temple of God on the hillock of Ophel in Jerusalem, exactly 1,290 days from the 'middle' of Daniel's 70th week (Daniel 12:11). This 'abomination of desolation' on the 'holy place' (Matthew 24:15; Daniel 8:) will initiate the coming of Christ on the 'white horse' (Revelation 19:11-16), which will occur during the period of the sixth (6th) bowl (Revelation 16:12-16). A substantial area of the hillock of Ophel in Jerusalem is vacant land and is currently an archaeological excavation site that belongs to the State of Israel 🇮🇱, and not to the Palestinians, which means that the 'commencement' of the construction of the Third Temple of God can begin at virtually a moment's notice!!! Due to the presence of civil infrastructure in the area surrounding the hillock of Ophel at the present time, the courtyard or plaza (identified as 'street' in Daniel 9:25 KJV), of the soon to be constructed Third Temple of God will probably not be of the same size as the courtyard or plaza of the first two Temples of God (i.e. Solomon's Temple, and Zerubbabel’s Temple a.k.a. Herod’s Temple), but instead will probably be substantially smaller. However, the scriptures in the Bible do not stipulate the size of the courtyard or plaza of the Temple of God, instead the scriptures only stipulate that the 'altar of the Lord' must be positioned on the 'threshing floor' that King David bought from Ornan (a.k.a. Araunah) the Jebusite (2 Samuel 24:18-25; 1 Chronicles 21:18-30; 1 Chronicles 22:1). Given that the Jews have been longing to build the Third Temple of God for over 1,950 years (i.e. ever since the Second Temple was destroyed in AD 70 on the proleptic Gregorian calendar), my prediction is that the Third Temple will be built on a considerably smaller courtyard or plaza. That said, in order to fulfill numerous passages of prophetic scriptures (Daniel 8:9-14; Daniel 9:27; Daniel 11:31; Daniel 12:11; Matthew 24:15; and 2 Thessalonians 2:4), the Third Temple of God MUST be built on the 'holy place' which is the site of the 'threshing floor' that King David bought from Ornan the Jebusite. Therefore, irrespective of the current misconception of the vast majority of 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews who believe that the Temple of God must be located on the eastern side of the Western Wall of the current falsely named Temple Mount, the Third Temple of God will NOT be built on the current falsely named Temple Mount, but will be built on the 'holy place' (Matthew 24:15) which is located on the 'bedrock' on the western side of the hillock of Ophel in Jerusalem! God is permitting the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews to be deceived on the true location of the 'holy place' until the 'appointed time' of His choosing because the 'commencement' of the construction of the third temple will time-mark the 'beginning' of Daniel's 70th week (Daniel 9:27). Once the 'unbelieving' but highly religious Orthodox Jews realize that the true location of Solomon's Temple (i.e. the 'holy place') is on the hillock of Ophel, the construction of the Third Temple of God can commence immediately! At the 'appointed time' of God's choosing, the Orthodox Jews will realize that the true location of the 'holy place' is the hillock of Ophel, which will initiate the construction of the Third Temple. And the 'commencement' of the construction of the Third Temple of God on the hillock of Ophel will time-mark the 'beginning' of Daniel's 70th week! (Daniel 9:27)

In Ezek 48:11 it says the sons of Zadok did not go astray which contradicts Ezek 34 where all the shepherds were replaced by ONE who will feed them himself v23, "in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for my sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a gloomy day v12. I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and bring them to their own land, and I will feed them on the mountains of Israel v13. I will judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the male goats v17, I will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep v20. My servant David will feed them v23 and be prince among them v24. Certainly you must see that the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple is 70 AD was God's judgment against Israel!

I don't get it. The reason for the 1st Temple was to house the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant was a vessel to carry the 10 commandments in. Blood from a sacrificed animal was to be dripped onto the Ark of the Covenant for temporary forgiveness of sin. The Temple was there for the High Priest to perform this ritual. Without the Ark of the Covenant, the cause for the Temple is useless. If the Jews are not going to reinstitute the blood sacrifice, what is the Temple for? Without the Ark of the Covenant how can there be blood sacrifice? Do they plain to make a fake Ark of the Covenant with no real 10 commandments in it for a useless blood sacrifice? Ben with the prefix aleph forms the noun eben אבנ (also occurs in singular form אבן) (Strong’s 68 & 69 273 & 8 occurrences) that is mostly translated as ‘a stone(s)’, but ‘he/she/it will be a stone(s)’ better captures the 1st person, future tense of the aleph prefix. This prophecy in conjunction with the seed in Gen. 3:15 supports Yahweh sending his son to redeem mankind from sin. This reveals why we need to study scripture in Hebrew because the English translation distorts the message.

Cain was also a ‘mighty one (ish)’, who was ‘cursed (arar Strong’s 779) from the ground’ for murdering his brother in Gen. 4:1 - 11, just as ‘cursed the ground’ for Adam in Gen. 3:17. The offense of Adam Romans 5:14 was murdering the woman, becoming a lying serpent, deceiving her into eating from the tree (which figuratively means sinning) they were commanded not to eat from. Adam transgressed the covenant and dealt treacherously against God Hosea 6:7. In Ezek. 28: 1 - 10 there is a ruler/prince of Tyre who is a man, subordinate to king of Tyre who was an anointed cherub in Eden in v 12 - 19. We see this subordination in Zech. 3: 1 - 7 when Satan stands at mankind’s right hand, which symbolizes power, as an adversary (satan in Hebrew).
