What I like about you guys is continuous development and improvement! Don't stop, it's not over yet! when should we expect a specification with a description? And how did you manage to cross the two architectures together?

Nice! 320MHz will certainly help a decent amount when running high-level language code.

And what one will be possible with Low Level code instead of wasting such a chip for Platform IO or Micro Python.
@rylandmueller3872 Жыл бұрын
Wow, 320MHz and built-in CAN FD, did you read my mind??? I've been working on wireless automotive sensors and receivers so have had to integrate an external CAN controller and have also had issues with NRF52833/52840 not being able to process the sensor data quickly enough; this chip would be a godsend

Does it support external PSRAM also? Just thinking about ideas to use it with a display..

Supports USB HS. However, is QSPI for communication with NAND Flash supported (compatible)? The nRF52840 is compatible with NOR Flash, but not with NAND Flash.

Interface is compatible, but NAND-specific functionality (wear leveling etc) needs to be implemented in software.

If you can get Adafruit to make it compatible with circuit python i’ll probably use it. NRF52840 is still King of BLE in circuit python after 3 years. I’m more likely to dabble with I3C if Adafruit supports it too.
@platin214814 күн бұрын
Is there much point to that? I think they can still sell you the old chip. Not really a reason to need so much more power in a circuit python program. I guess for some people C is just to scary..

Though your new product looks good, i have doubts on your support. I bought some widely available nrf51822 modules for my students project and after acquiring them i cant program their BLE part. Turns out the market is flooded with 1st revision chips(C0 variant) and there is absolutely no support for them. I have currently around 20 nrf bricks and my local distributor has atleast few hundred of these nrf bricks. I hope you dont discontiue support for your first revision chips of your new product.
@NordicSemi Жыл бұрын
We have not shipped that revision since late 2013 so weird if they still can be found. We suggest getting in touch with the module provider or distributor to let them know and that they should get in touch with their Nordic representative to sort this out.

@@DLSDKING We will look into this, but feel free to have a look at the waveshare webpage to see if any of the software listed there can help www.waveshare.com/wiki/BLE400#NRF51822_Software Alternatively look at Zephyr open source SW solution: docs.zephyrproject.org/1.14.1/boards/arm/nrf51_ble400/doc/index.html

@@vigneshkarthi3321 Thanks for sharing. We do have an extra development kit just for Bluetooth LE Audio, nRF5340 Audio DK: www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/nRF5340-Audio-DK This might be something interesting for you. It has a lot of useful components on board for an audio design. Depending on your skills, you can also take a look at our nRF5340 DK and combine it with a stereo audio DSP (there are several available as Arduino shields) for high-quality stereo Audio: www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/nRF5340-DK Remember that we are talking about Bluetooth LE Audio, not Bluetooth classic audio, so the other part of this connection will also need to support LE Audio. Most of the newer high-end phones do (in developer mode), but PCs and laptops usually need extra hardware for that at the moment.
