I’m disappointed with Fraser; he seems to have a downer on the new Chef for no reason. Just like with Barbie, he’s letting his personal feelings overrule his professionalism. He’s setting Paris up for trouble by sending her off to complain about garnish. Imagine Ben or Rachel putting up with stews telling them how to present food? They’d start throwing plates.

Fraser needs demoted. You don't tell the Chef how to present dishes especially when the chef told you he would not do that its too "tacky". What culinary school did Fraser attend or work to advise that. Then he does the worse thing no one in that position should do and that is to go to his 3 other stews and criticizes the chef and makes fun of him. If Fraser had his way there would be no one in the interior but him.

I think Frasier is a hard worker and wants the guests to have a wonderful experience! However lately in his efforts to accomplish this he has lost his way! He's become a perfectionist, a complainer and a tyrant! What is his problem? Lay off the chef, he's the one with the culinary skills 👌! Why, because he refuses to be ordered about by inexperienced subordinates that know nothing about cooking or plating food? Or because he resents that a chief stew should attempt to usurp his authority as chef? Gee, can't imagine why anyone with 20 years of culinary expertise would mind joining a new staff, only to immediately be thrown under the bus by those they out rank yet are expected to rely upon. There is a reason that the chef is among the highest paid crewman on board, their success or lack thereof makes the day. The biggest take away that the guests will remember is the food; plain and simple. That puts a lot of stress and responsibility upon the singular chef on board. Essentially the chefs work harder than anyone else seen on camera; (bearing in mind you rarely if ever see the ship's engineers). The chefs basically work from dusk to dawn rarely ever getting a break. What you do not see is that they not only have to feed the guests three (or more) times a day, but they also have to feed all of the crew 3 times a day. Unlike a large crew ship that have hundreds of crew in the kitchen, these charter ships have but one cook. That means one chef planning, cooking, plating 6 or more meals each day. Each meal requires many dishes that have to be prepared, and all it has to look and taste appetizing. When not cooking, they are forever cleaning the galley. And prior to each charter, the chef has to place massive orders for needed ingredients. So even on off days, they spend all of their time planning; and they still have to feed the crew on those between charter days. Each chef has to be a master of all major cuisine styles, and each chef has to be prepared to make alternatives for every guests idiosyncrasies as they arise. Some guests have so many dietary restrictions that the chef in affect has to make up to 8 separate main courses for any given meal. A chef never knows when he or she will be called to meet and greet the guests, or have them make unscheduled visits to his galley just to see how things are done. Some guests even demand cooking lessons. That's an enormous amount of work for anyone. As such, it is not the chef's job to be a "team player". He is basically the "team leader" just below the captain.
