@@michaelrichardi6047 Well, yes, maybe, but there are productive and non-productive ways to managing. The goal of any manager is to get the best out of whoever's working for you. Some people are self-motivated, some need a kick in the pants from time to time, and, in my experience, most people, even the hardest workers, like to get some encouragement or affirmation. It doesn't seem like Camille's gotten a lot of that kind of support in her life. She's like starved for it. Telling someone like that "We wouldn't mind if you quit" doesn't just kill their motivation, it destroys them, their energy and their motivation on a deeper level. I've been both a manager and an employee, both a coach and a player. Alissa's way of doing things wouldn't fly if she was my middle manager. I'd never want to see her in a position of real authority over a larger group of people. And maybe Camille is just lazy, maybe she's been entitled; I don't know but I see signs that she just wants to feel appreciated. Look at her perspective, too: She's being managed (micro-managed, to a degree) by FOUR people whose communication with each other about how to efficiently utilize her was minimal until AFTER they decided SHE was the problem. Alissa, Fraser, Ross and Sandy have no full idea about what's been going on, and they bear some responsibility that she's struggled, IMO.

that was a very grudging "praise" because the only time Camille pretends to work is when the capt. can see her. Sandy should NOT be coddling a lazy crew member and Camille has pulled the wool over her eyes. Sandy should stick with driving the boat and let the department heads run their departments, keeping her nose out of it unless it comes up the chain of command.

Fraser didn't do anything to manage his people properly though and it's important for the boss to know who her people are. Camille has come for a vey privileged background where she's never been taught about hard work. Sany is trying to teach her what it is and give her a chance to sow she understands. Encouragement from her team is important. The crew are young and might not understand where people come from is important. Like in the Med series they jumped down Mila's throat for being homophobic- but Mila is from a pro Russian society where orthodox values are indoctrinated.

The entire crew this season is not cut out for the industry. Alissa clearly has a personal issue with Camille though. Always has time to complain about "picking up slack" instead of, idk actually working? Then she cries to Captain Sandy. Then continues to turn a complicated work environment into a hostile one. Either Alissa has some sort of complex or she's flat out jealous of Camille. And it was stupid of Camille to listen to Sandy and apologize to Alissa. She gave her the upper hand to continue to nitpick her work ethic. ALSO! Camille didn't jump the chain of command by going to Sandy first instead of the chief stew. Capt called her out ON THE RADIO. I do admire Captain Sandy but she did kind of set Camille up to fail, but if Camille fails at this point she has no one else to blame. Deck Crew is complaining about the schedule - Interior apparently did not have a schedule for a Deck/Stew shift which is what she was hired for. It's poor leadership on Frazier's part that has continued to make a conflict within his team WORSE. Plus, it's just a show lol.
