Japanese Disney Parks are far and beyond any other park.

Tokyo Disneyland is ok. Basically just a slightly better copy-paste of the one in California. DisneySea on the other hand was the best and most immersive Disney park I've ever been to while still keeping the classic Disney charm.
@josephyang32607 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree with the other person, Disneyland Tokyo is okay, the parades are better in my opinion, but everything else is mostly the same, people are a bit more respectful, but lines are long no matter if it’s a weekend or weekday due to lots of school trips. Prices are significantly lower so that’s a plus and merch is better too. Also, lol every time I’ve been fireworks are cancelled due to the gentlest breeze (I’ve gone 2 to 4 times per year for the last 8 years when I take my annual trip to japan, I’ve also gone every season too). Disney sea is pretty good overall, but currently they’re in renovation season so at least 1/3 to 1/4 of the rides are closed there was also no real harbor show or parade, they only have one boat that comes out with Mickey and the crew and they do a little dance and song, but a let down compared to what I’ve seen in the past. Also, king tritons theater has been shutdown for like 3 years, that was one of my favorites with a live action Ariel that would fly over the audience while also singing some of the iconic songs like part of your world. Also they had zero night shows along with Disneyland Tokyo as of a week ago. Don’t get me wrong, I typically do enjoy Disney Tokyo, but I’m trying to set some realistic expectations. Disney World I’d say is a top contender with Disney Tokyo though for the value Tokyo is pretty top tier .

If only the parks in the United States were allowed to do this, this is what Walt would have wanted plussing. Not repurposing rides into different themes, not tearing down buildings to make smaller versions of those buildings which go away from the messaging that Walt was trying to convey (Epcot) at least the original theme park version of Epcot had some of Walt’s intentions. Now future world is gone, because corporate boards or the money people only want money. So they charge for fast passes, up prices on everything, and don’t let the Imagineers live up to their full potential. The park in the video above clearly lets the Imagineers use their imaginations to design new things.

Tokyo's parks are operated by a Japanese company on a license from Disney, so are not directly owned or operated by the Disney company. This gives the other company (Oriental Land Co) more say in both budgeting for new additions (often giving Imagineering much larger budgets to work with), and management decisions (not falling into the same pitfalls as the US parks currently are)
@robatkins7 ай бұрын
@@A_A610 yeah, that’s awesome. It’s just a shame that the U.S. Disney park management won’t send more funds that way.
@UmmYeahOk7 ай бұрын
@@A_A610but unlike Disney, OLC has to pay for all that licensing. Imagine if a company owned all these IPs, and had their own imagineers, the possibilities would be endless! …but that wouldn’t look good to shareholders, investing so much money on things that won’t give an instant return. I just don’t understand how OLC is able to do all this, after paying Disney, AND keeping prices low.
@anthonyhayes41097 ай бұрын
@out5894 it doesn't have to be. The absence of money can and should make the creative juices move faster. Take the Haunted Mansion: paint an animatronic white and angle it in front of a sheet of glass, Boom! You've got a ghost. Or Soarin': tinker with an old erector set, and you've got a state of the art ride system thats now being copied all over the country.

Bravo, Tokyo Imagineers for making the dreams of Disney fans a reality. You are the last beacon of inspiration & creativity left in the Walt Disney Company. Thank goodness for OLC! Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea: “Imagineers are an invaluable asset and make our fantasy a reality.” Disney Parks US: “Let’s downsize Imagineering & get rid of anything we can’t charge an extra up charge for, while barely keeping our existing rides operable for half an operating day.”

It is difficult. In Japan, when building a tall building, there is an obligation to attach a red lamp to the top of the building. Oriental Land doesn't want to add that, so it can't be helped. Also, that Rapunzel tower faces the direction of the attraction, and if the tower is too big, it's weird for the people sitting on the ride.

I kind of hope for more focus on Frozen Kingdom and Rapunzel's Forest so they can expand both areas a bit with a huge mini water area while building a second castle the Corona Castle in the middle of an artificial island for Rapunzel's Forest area instead of doing Peter Pan. I feel Rapunzel's world could have more to explore instead of just the forest area. 2 castles Corona and Arendelle together would stand out for the area, but I guess they don't want to overshadow Mt Prometheus the original landmark for DisneySea. Anyways, this is still really good for what it is. I am happy that Arendelle is made close to the movie scene itself, and you can go inside which is the most important part.

They have a very strong theming and their own story. They can stand without relying on any Disney character! Disney Sea does not copy any attractions from other parks, also no park can copy them too! Why did you choose to bring Fantasy Spring here? Any relation with the Sea Theme? My Disney Sea has a more realistic, Romantic and serious vibe, not cartoon style. Don’t get me wrong, I Love your jobs, This Fantasy Spring is so Amazing! But It should be part of Disneyland, not Sea!
