I do a lot of documentary and journalism you can't always control the "noise" in the background and sometimes there are a few seconds of music on a PA or passing car radio, There should be sanctions from KZbin for companies making spurious claims.

Using AI to remove the art of the musicians... How poetic. On a serious note, it's funny because I read a book written by 50 Cent and Robert Greene in which one chapter explains how 50 Cent managed to get himself signed by Aftermath. He would put his mixtapes out there by selling, giving it away for free, and even letting it get pirated. All of this just meant more people playing his music and the right ears hearing it and noticing how people were into it. This feedback when music gets copyright struck and suddenly the video is in jeopardy... Not only do you expose your music to less people now you just pissed off someone who may have been a fan or even could have been eventually. 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin album went on to sell 9 million copies. They did have to release it a week earlier apparently to combat bootlegging and leaks but I don't think anyone would have noticed at all. All they did notice was music that would still be great today.

@@popo0129 You miss the point. ALL 50 Cent's music was copyrighted. He just didn't charge for it or people copying it. It is up to the owners of music, or any creative art, as to what they charge, if anything, for it. The problem on KZbin is there are a lot of people claiming they hold copyright when they don't I suspect there are some people making a fortune on KZbin claiming they have copyrights when they don't. I have contested multiple copyright claims on KZbin and not lost one of my disputes. However, there seems to be no sanction on those claiming the copyright. This leads me to wonder in places where copyrighted music has been in the video (in the background in passing) is the person claiming actually the real copyright holder? It is extremely difficult to fight this. KZbin seems to have no interest.

I can understand not wanting people to make edits like that because they can potentially just replace one video with a completely different video and have misleading comments for example. But I think the tools are there to make sure that the newly uploaded edits are close enough to the original to be considered the same content. Especially in terms of replacing an audio track.

The BIG problem is spurious copyright claims. I have had multiple spurious claims that go away when I challenge them, KZbin should mute any organization that has more than 5 or 10 claims they loose. This will stop, or at least slow down, the number of false copyright claims.

I've got a Vietnamese company telling me that the official Pokemon sound track is a cover of one of their songs. Of course it's their song that is the cover. It's ridiculous that they can just keep claiming my videos and ignoring the disputes with zero consequences. KZbin doesn't even have a dispute option for when the person making the claim doesn't even own the rights to the song. They told me to just choose the closest option but that requires me to lie on the dispute form which could get my account deleted.

It would be better if there was an actual way to challenge the fake copyright claims other than ask the fake claimants if he agrees with it. It would be even better if claims were checked before they were asserted. I have had claims on my own music! The music copyright claims system is terminally defective on KZbin.

We have a dedicated team that monitors reference files delivered to Content ID for mistakes or abuse and take necessary action. While we work on that, if you believe that your use of claimed content is valid, you can file a dispute for the claimant to review.

Guys, are you aware that there is a very old bug, that does not allow to monetize video no matter sound is muted or replaced with Audio Library free music? I have probably 40 of these. Many years ago KZbin introduced feature where you can replace the music with large library supplied by KZbin, where the copyright claim is being removed, and you cannot monetize. That feature was later removed , but since then no matter what you do the video remains nonmonetizable and there is no pending claim on it. So this very usefull KZbin feature ended up damaging all videos where it was applied.

One different, yet related, thing for KZbin to consider: if commercial music appears in only a fraction of a video, why does the claimant get to have all of the ad revenue instead of a proportional amount?

Didn't this feature already exist about 10 years ago? And it's still ridiculous that there is no option to dispute an incorrect Content ID match. The system gets things wrong all the time, and there is still no direct way to report these false positives and get the copyright claims removed. You have to choose some other option like "fair use" or "public domain" and then explain in writing that it is an incorrect Content ID match, and hope someone actually reads your explanation rather than reject your dispute.

Please please pretty please, make us able to remove MULTIPLE SONGS at once! Sometimes during livestreams I want to put the VOD on my KZbin channel, but there is some alerts or shared content on the video. I sometimes have to wait four or five times before I'm finally able to remove all the songs. Now I have to click one, remove it, wait for it to be processed, and repeat, sometimes with a very long wait time in between. All useless KZbin capacity waste. Please allow us to select multiple songs at once to remove! This will save a massive load on the KZbin servers.

Secondly, we need KZbin to give us contact information for any company that claims a portion of our videos. @@creatorinsider removing the live chat is absolutely insane. This makes editing livestreams very unsavory. There is no reason to remove the livechat. I can understand if a portion of the video was clipped out. Where would the live chat go for the clipped section? Easy solution is to add it to the post-clipped section. This would result in a huge dump of comments, but it's preferable to removing all comments. But, if the video's timeline did not change there is no reason. Just stop removing the live chat.

My honest and genuine opinion is that KZbin should be able to 1) Find new methods for creators to get in contact with copyright holders to obtain licenses that are not available on Creator Music 2) have a cut off point of what copyrighted materials would be allowable within content ID 3) Have revenue splitting enabled on all content by default 4) KZbin negotiate with record labels and distributors to be able to extend Creator Music. As it stands it's hard as a creator that does meme content, it's essential to be able to find ways to obtain licenses to copyrighted work, or to find ways to negotiate to be able to use their work. But as it stands, KZbin makes it hard to be able to do anything of the sort.

I still don't understand why KZbin doesn't let people replace the video. Vimeo lets users to do this. You can replace the original video with a new one and keep all your stats. No one needs AI to remove the music when every content creator has the original files. We can remove the music ourselves. Just let us upload a replacement video.

This is most welcome! We do high school sports and have no control over what an announcer or DJ plays over the stadium or gym PA. Almost without exception the claims always come from the same entities in sketchy parts of the world. It's gotten so bad that we openly joke about it on air ("Welcome back to baseball as we shake it off with all the Swifties in the stands! Oh wait...can you feel it? Incoming copyright claim! Good night Belarus!"). The claim always says our content can't be watched or heard in Belarus, or wherever, which we could care less about, but it means that entity can monetize our content anywhere for themselves. If this puts a stop to that, we're all in.

I found it most ridiculous, that one gets a claim, when passing a food stand with a radio is playing in the background. 5 seconds justin bieber in a 12 minute video is enough. It is getting overly aggressive. add to that the "claim-factories", claiming just anything, even the song has nothing to do at all with the music they claimed.

I have the same problem filming pipe bands. Companies, not the pipe bands claim copyright because a band used the companies label to release an album. These are traditional tunes played by all pipe bands and some are 100’s of years old.

I haven't had that happen. Years ago I did have one video end up with a corrupted video track, but in recent years I can remove a song without it affecting video at all.

@@AndyGilleand the issue is with videos that use HDR (high dynamic range, e.g. 10bit color space, hybrid-log gamma, etc.) which gets removed if you edit the video in any way, even just remove/mute a part of the audio -- i've already contacted youtube support a while ago and their response was: "Please be advised that editing the video will remove the HDR from the original video as editing does not support HDR. So, to have the HDR output, you'll need to avoid editing the video."

The copyright stuff is really annoying, it really sucks when we do go live and we are out at a public event, a casino, anywhere where there is music playing, live music, or heck, even next to a vehicle at a red light and the car next to you has loud music playing, if we don't start yelling LA LA LA LA LA to try and cover it, BAM, we get hit with it. But it isn't near as strict on most other platforms. It really doesn't make a lot of sense anyways, we all have internet and devices we can listen to music from just about anywhere in the world, if I am listening to one of my favorite songs on a local radio station, I can tell a friend from across the world to go online, put the radio station on and hear the song I am talking about, but it is what it is. Just sit back and take it. 👋🤠

This will be interesting, it would be super helpful. I do a TON of LIVES and I can't help when a car drives by or I am at a tradeshow and there is so much music playing. I often unlist the video and avoid anyone getting paid which sucks, but now, I can play with releasing some of these again and see if the AI can remove song only on some of those car shows and public events, this would be super helpful. The real big problem is the fake or spurious copyright claims from music companies. I have received countless copyright claims against the background music I have purchased under license for my meditation/hypnosis videos, all of which have been withdrawn once challenged. It's stressful and time-consuming to defend this fake claims. A simple solution would be to ban anybody or any company from submitting copyright claims once they have lost a certain number - or place the burden of proving there is a copyright infringement on the entity making the claim.

Consider focusing on preventing “false copyright claims” by third parties, rather than launching new projects. Why is it that when I use BTS’s music, groups like ‘LatinAutorPerf’, ‘IPRS_CS’, and ‘SONY blah blah’, notorious for false copyright claims for years, are able to claim ownership of my video just a few days ago? Even after I filed a dispute, these third parties continue to assert ownership over BTS’s music and reject my dispute. Addressing these fundamental issues is crucial for providing a better service.

*KZbin should allow creators to re-upload the whole video minus that audio.* Allow creators to replace the file, but keep the Title, Description, Comments, etc... It really stinks when a high-performing video's revenue is stolen by some greedy 3rd party fraudulently.

I used the beta of this before, and I am glad this feature exists tbh. I film thrill rides on events and they of course use music. Since I wanna keep the sound of the motors and the screams of riders, I hope that the feature will get significant improvements after the beta. It often sounds pretty muffled right now, but it's still a ton better then taking the whole video down.

It seems to work better. Thanks for this. So often there were claims of 10 second song part in my 1 hour+ videos where I would have to filter out the song manually and reupload again. I'm still hoping for the long previewed dubbing or audio track replacement feature. I hope there is a rollout soon, now that KZbin seems to focus on improving the creator workflow again - also thanks to a speedier Studio web interface

I got a copyright claim from a free music that some third person in Russia claimed as his own, of course I know who the real authors are, but these persons were claiming this free song for copyright, do you know how to fix this? I am not using any music at all on my last videos. Thanks

If KZbin would simply make their Audio Editor a tiny bit more professional with options to adjust the volume, it would be already of a big help when replacing songs. At the moment its more kind of from the last century.

That's great but is there a way to ensure that chat replay is not impacted, I'd understand if you were removing a clip but when the actual stream is the same length when removing a segment of audio, why is chat replay removed?

This sounds like a great feature for a big problem, we'll have to wait to see just how well it works. I still would like to have the ability to manually place ads in my videos on my smartphone after uploading to KZbin. If that capability already exists, I still have not figured out how to do it.

I dont undestand. The remove music option is made with those videos who have non-controlled music in the background (like real life recordings, not something the creator included) in mind, but when I try to use it in one of my video who is copyright claimed because it has music in the background not added by me ( what playin in the place I was recording, and I had no control over that), it doesnt let me because "this option cannot be used in compositions claims". What is the use then??????? Makes no sense. I can edit a video where I added some music and it was claimed, but when the music is part of background noise and I cannot edit it (because noise reduction in video editors makes voice sound horrible), this is what should be used but you say it cannot be used for that! What the use for it then???????

This feature doesn't work on my videos, it always says that they are too long for me to do that, i know that that would take WAY more time to do in a long video, but why is that not even an option?

Great suggestion. Right now the technology uses match information to know what to remove, but we're looking into ways we can improve it even further in the future.

Can't we get an algorithm update with all the new AI tech that's out now where I can post something and if my regular viewers wouldn't be interested, it just won't show them and only show it to an audience that WOULD like it? I have about 15 channels and I'm tired of it, I've given up on most and only work on about 3 but even that is exhausting! It would be AMAZING if I could just have my main channel, that's it. And just post whatever I want in it. Like, right now, my main audience LOVES UFO videos but sometimes I want to play video games. If it's like a space shooter, it does well. If not, I have to completely sign out of KZbin on my console just to sign in to my other channel just to go live there. Then I have to switch to another channel just to do reactions. This made sense in 2019 but by now the algorithm should know, "hmm, let me push this to THESE people" not just automatically push to subscribers even if they wouldn't like it. Also, I hate having to make a whole new channel every time I have a new idea, it's literally the most exhausting aspect of KZbin content creation. I just want to be a variety channel that can actually grow on the platform. Like, not to be THAT guy but the platform has more than enough money to invest in these advanced technologies and make things easier for both creators and viewers.

I like being able to remove the song and leave in the rest of the audio that is great but what if you get 3 or more Copy Right Claims which become strikes and have no chance to actually address the claims and remove the claimed thing from the video. The Strike things needs improving to better protect Creators so they can fix or remove anything in their videos before it becomes a claim or it is open to being exploited at the cost of the Creator.
