We have a bidet that attaches under the toilet set and it’s wonderful!! I had the same thought as you so we got one that attaches to both hot and cold water supply. Turns out that part of your body isn’t that averse to cold water. In fact I would say it is really quite refreshing. Plus it’s just like a tap in that it has to run a bit before the water starts to get warm so you are going to get cold water to start no matter what because it has no where else to go. Those body parts however are definitely sensitive when the water is too warm and it can be uncomfortable or even painful (ie be very careful using the warm/hot when some is having or just had a shower). So I would recommend the cold only version which is not only cheaper but also very easy to install. And yes you still need tp but definitely a lot less.
