Being There is a movie that gets better and better every time I watch it. It hits you different the older you get too.

Richard Gere is very charming. What movies like that does very well is show being wealthy is nice to a point. If you have no purpose, no direction in life, you just end up miserable and depressed - like those bored wealthy housewives with no point to their lives

Really enjoy the channel. I enjoy watching these 70-80s episodes, and discovering movies I want to see. Do you have more of the 90-00’s episodes? I love watching reviews of movies I saw as a kid.

In the words if Wesley Willis, it was a "Harmony Joy Bus Ride" episode of them both categorically agreeing with each other. If this was someone's first episode of "At the Movies", they would be very mistaken about how often this actually happened. And it shows the genuine skill of both of these men, being on the same page once in a while but not often.

Wow, they missed the boat on The Fog!

I would say they actually hit the nail on the head with this one. The Fog sort of repeats the same old thing through most of its running time, I will still watch it from time to time but I never found it particularly frightening. Love Halloween and The Thing, though.

I believe the year broadcast was 1980 not 1979.
@markmaki44603 ай бұрын
I don't know - Roger mentions the demise of Jim Jones' cult "last year" - which was 1978. Unless this episode was broadcast later than planned, it seems it was 1979.

He also says "Halloween," which was released in 1978, came out "last year."
