Also, let's be clear that science is not a doctrine. Science is a process for investigating the rules of the universe. It has no beliefs. Scientists, being people, and the scientific community, being a group of people, do have beliefs, but science itself is just a process. It has no agenda and no dogma; not even the belief that the universe is real or that reality is only what can be measured.

It's the difference between faith which requires belief, and something more real like science which only requires knowledge. Someone can BELIEVE that there is no matter under faith-based religions because all that is required is BELIEF that their personal ideals are true, but such a thing is impossible with science since we use our shared human senses to be able to KNOW it for ourselves, without being taught by anyone else.

From his metal videos explaining evolution to his rationalcritical-thinking-first approach to understanding that "science" is a methodology, not a religion or other faith-based conjecture of interpreting the world. He does some of the best contrarian videos against Kent Hovid and others like him who use the blind faith of innocent people as a scam opportunity to take their money and grow their own cult of personality. And he does a handful of pretty decent videos on how the Bible is flawed and he uses legitimate history to present the Bible's glaringly problematic interpretation of history, if you're into that kind of stuff. Also, he's one of few who's fighting against the Bible-belt mentality in politics in his area and fights for human rights for all. But most importantly, he's metal af and doesn't give af and always ends his vids w some sick tunes. Dude is pretty kick ass.

my school had a christianity club held by a local church once a week that they enticed kids into through cookies and juice and by promoting it to parents as a child care type group for parents who couldn't pick their kids up till later in the day due to work and such. the problem with it and i believe it was a major factor in me losing belief was that if you challenged anything they said especially with logic they would get angry, shout about how you are a sinner for questioning god and whatever and then send u to stand in the corner facing the wall and tell us something along the lines of "think of your sins and how you have hurt jesus" and that we couldn't move from the corner, look behind us or talk to anyone until we were ready to apologize and accept the "truth of the bible". i believe if you cant give a respectful and though out answer when your beliefs are challenged then you should really be asking yourself why you are preaching something you clearly dont understand or have any proof/evidence of.

@@rainfoxhound8199 It's easy actually. There is only one proper interpretation of the Bible, the Bible is clear about this. In scholarship we call this "The author's intended meaning." It can be found here: Luke 24:25-27, 45-48, here: John 5:46, and here: John 20:30-31 (among many other places). Fun fact Jesus and the many authors of the Bible all warn about "false teachers" and "false prophets." In other words, people who say they are Christians (or a branch of Christianity) but when tested (1 John 4:1) don't actually measure up or do or teach what is clearly taught in Scripture. You can find these examples here: Matthew 24:11, 2 Peter 2, Jude, etc. I study this stuff for a living btw. It's not as complicated as people make it out to be, but people tend to just not care to read it for themselves, and end up drawing these types of conclusions because they are unfamiliar with what has been long written down for our instruction. My grasp is that its largely a secular parody of religion focused around mocking the absurdly close minded teachings, promoting more individualistic values, and helping highlight just how batshit crazy religion looks from the outside looking in to show exactly why so many people want religion kept out of schools and politics. They also use it as a way to protect people from being abused by religion overstepping into peoples lives using religious freedoms an example being considering abortion a religious ritual for them as a means to attempt to protect it under religious freedoms. The school club thing, too, to me looked more like an attempt at pushing religion out of schools by forcing them to choose between allowing their group, OR removing ALL religious influence. It's not really some spiritual belief system so much as a way to combat the intrusiveness of religion in other peoples lives and help protect people from its abuses of power. Sometimes in comedic fashion.

I used to work at a mini-ministry on a college campus where we promoted good vibes for all, religious or not. You could come in and just vent, or we had some crafts to keep your hands busy and calm the mind, and of course we had educational material about many religions around the world. If we didn't have it on hand, I was more than happy to order new materials and stock it. I remember a day when a young man came in requesting information about how to start a Satanist club on campus, and I could tell immediately from his demeanor that he wanted a negative reaction from me, but instead I informed him of the steps and who he could talk to after he left our office. He never started the club, so, again, I assume he just wanted a rise out of me lol.

Still one of the funniest moments in my life was when this huge group of Southern Baptist came up to Detroit to bash a parade and these men and women from the parade set up a stand with stripper poles and microphone and proceeded to sing joy to the world and Cher and tina turner songs while dancing on the stage. This is how science works: 1. you come up with a theory of how things work 2. you test your theories with experiments with logical and rational design 3. you analyze your results from the experiment and determine if your theory is some what valid 4. you share your findings with other scientist and they either try the experiment themselves or think of ways that the experiment was not logically thought out 5. if your theory / experiment were carried out numerous times where the scientific community has a consensus on it, then it can become a law (i.e. laws of motion). So if you are concerned about people being fed wrong scientific facts, don't worry my friend, those will get debunked real quick because other scientists will call it out (step 4 as mentioned). Note: this doesn't mean to follow all science, rather follow the scientific method to determine if the fact that your being fed is good or not.

The topic you touched about abortion is very sensitive to me. I have a thyroid condition and got pregnant. things weren't looking great for the kid and i chose abortion. because giving birth to a child that would have a nightmare instead of a life did not sit well with me. and at times i felt selfish for doing that, but now i really don't. i honestly do not understand why people that know their kids have genetic problems from the wound would even consider this. and i'm not hitler either. i loved my baby very much and i'm still depressed for what i did. but you know what? i really think this was a big and good decision.

I think a lot of pro-life people aren't against abortions under these kind of extreme conditions. What pro-lifers have a problem with, for the most part, are abortions done for no good reason other than because the mother doesn't want the child. These kind of abortions are the vast majority of them. Pro-choicers make the mistake of saying that abortions can only be banned or completely unrestricted when in fact there is a middleground. The 'your body, your choice' argument doesn't fly in my book because the issue is more complex than that. There is another body in question, another life in question. All throughout life, our choices are restricted by how they effect other people. You can't do whatever you like if it will harm other people. The same logic should apply to abortions.

I don’t believe in any of this. However I do really like having an understanding of what either side of the argument is. Mind you I go full into my research to the point of stupidity. So I did my reading, went to church enough to know a lot by name, asked them and went through a baptism. They just kinda dipped fingers in a pot of water and drew on me. (Was expecting a dunking) Then I did the same for satanic church. Although they don’t really have an equivalent to baptism. Here is what I learned… The Christians believe you do everything for gods glory, and he will reward you. They say he loves you and seem to use it as a mechanism to explain away anything negative in your life. It’s about coping with the bad things in life and in death. Pray for people and give money to the church. It’s odd because they say if you do BAD Satan will punish you. I did find that in all 4 church’s I attended they was a lot of…. I donno how to discribe it… like teen ages fake faces but kinda talking down on people? Not like obvious and blatant but it really felt like they are extremely judging of everything. It didn’t need to be bible related either, if you have different tastes in anything they seemed to act like you are now I guess lesser? This might not be the whole religion as a whole but it was definitely a recurring theme even after changing churches and from Christianity to catholic. The satanic church does things differently and it’s not like the movies at all. They don’t condone crime or anything they say, live for the glory of yourself. Not the glory of god. They say that bad things happen to everyone and it’s more of a fact of life rather than a deity doing it to you. It’s about living the life you have to the fullest for your own happiness. In the satanic bible it more or less says do what ever makes you happy and find your wealth in that. However satanist also believe that doing evil will in fact result in punishment. It teaches not to lie, steal and even says slaves, rascism and other things are disliked by Lucifer. It’s also goes on to discourage worship of god and lucifer and only worship your self and those around you. Also they don’t care about gay, lesbian or bi. If they are happy then that’s what they need to pursue. This is often why you see people less caring about how they outwardly display themselves in Satanism. However it feels like a lot of these people felt, cringy, like they needed to be evil looking dispite what the church teaches. Don’t do evil, you do that you gonna get burned. Don’t take this as hating either side. Everyone is different let them be who they want to be. I personally don’t have any religious ties and this was just my experience with them. I do this for everything in life for fun.

The reason god was tilted over the apple is that humans are given free will, the freedom to choose, and the choices they make cannot be interfered with by god because he would be contradicting himself. Choices can only be made if you know the choice exists, so it's not so much that man was kicked out of the garden of eden, it's just that the garden of eden cannot exist for humans without ignorance. This free will, freedom of choice and contradiction thing is exactly why praying to god will never yield results if you are praying to him to help you with something that was borne of human choice. I was raped by my neighbour as a little boy. He was not a Christian. I did not turn out however, into a satanist. I lived angry, suicidal and not believing in God. I am now, however, a devout, practicing Roman Catholic. Saved from it. I use my anger from it to help others who are marginalized and lost. Instead of being consumed by it, I over came it. Not by myself, but by Christ. I don't think this girl is bad, she is just hurting. That "Christian" would have benefited more from listening and not speaking at all. He's the disgrace here!

It's people like you that proves religion isn't the problem. PEOPLE are the problem. I am really happy your belief helped and even saved you. That is the most important thing is what it means to YOU and how YOU have personally benefitted from it. And this doesn't exclude Satanism. I myself am a "Satanist" but I more subscribe to different things from lots of different religions. And I can say that many Satanists would act the same way, Speaking and not Listening. Arguing and not Sharing Experiences. I struggled with homelessness, and that gave birth to Anger, Depression, and being suicidal. I didn't believe in a higher power, and thought why would a higher power let this, or FAR MORE TERRIBLE things befall it's 'creations'. Now, as a Satanist, I believe I myself am that higher power. and 'destiny' is not predetermined, but the outcome of my own decisions. Success or Failure. I forge the path I walk. Never begged, or did 'Hard' drugs. instead I dropped out of highschool, which was harsh to deal with while homeless, and got a job. worked hard labor. fixed my life. Of course there are variables out of your own control. Typically effected by others, who make their own decisions all in the same. Now i work in a job i love that isnt hard labor. and i work around people at the end stage of their life. Most believe in abrahamic faiths. and that belief keeps them strong in the conflict of death approaching. And provides comfort to them before they pass. which is the most beautiful thing to see it give people. I have never once talked to any of these people about satanism or my beliefs. But i LISTEN to what they believe, percieve, and feel. And it also brings them comfort, and smiles. which keeps me happy in such a morbid work environment. I do get asked on my belief. and I usually either agree with what they believe in, or i simply say something out there beyond our realm of perception has compassion for us all. Whether i truly believe that or not does not matter. It's about what they feel. Whatever next obstacle, no matter how sever, comes into your life man. I know you, and your belief, will keep you strong. So Stay strong, even in the hardest times. Cheers!

the only three things everyone needs to understand is 1. there's a difference between the average satanist and devil worshipper. Satanists use satan as an idea, devil worshippers worship the christian belief and existence of the devil 2. religion often comes from bad experiences and coping like said in the video, but having a "we both chose religion for the same reason, just your choice was the wrong one" type of mindset is what causes all the hate and problems 3. no matter your beliefs, dont force them onto other people If christians are right then we all burn, if they're wrong then whatever happens, happens. I don't agree with schools not talking about religion, but It would be pretty cool if they talked about every religion instead. I'd be so invested in learning about the Nordic and Egyptian religion rather than Christianism, but every country taught based on what doctrine they have implemented on their land. Religion can be very interesting, but not when it is centralized in just one IMO.
