This makes more sense to me. Enough of this bullshit empowerment thing every time we mention women. If a bunch of men wanted to wear heels and the people who made heels mentioned that they were tailoring a new model of heels to men, does that mean that the heels should have a design that would be exclusively for men and NOT for women? Sneakers are unisex and the designs should be loved by men and women, it’s narrow-minded to think that by mentioning one gender you have to cater to exclusively that gender to make a difference - keep the actual type of product in mind.

I appreciate you for this video, the pros/cons, raw truth of men seeded early pairs far more than we saw for women (for a shoe directed/marketed to women) and the message behind it for the black woman's journey. Do I have a pair? Nope. Breaking my neck to get a pair? Nope, I'll assess later this year if I'll pay the going price or won't. But for men stuck with them unable to sell above $500, oh well.

I would love to add this pair to my collection, i was raised by a single mother as well, and she was in the military so literally she was all i had for most of my life. I think this shoe would be one if added to the collection, it would never leave based on that back story. I know i wouldn’t be where i am if it wasn’t for my mother, and grandmother. amazing video, you keep getting better and better

Many of us men, yourself included, were raised by women. I pursued these to honor my mom. Women do have exclusives that are marketed towards them, but without the men salivating would these have gotten notoriety or been a Jordan(W) OG?

Women were able to enter the raffle in any Whitaker Group stores not just A Ma Maniere. They could’ve entered at Social Status, APB, and Prosper as well. My cousin entered at Social Status Pittsburgh. . So (PA)Pittsburgh... (NC) Charlote, Raleigh, Greensboro,... (NJ) Newark... (SC) Greenvile, Charleston, Columbia... (FL) Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Tampa Bay... (TX) Houston... and DC. I might've forgot one but that's still better than just 3 cities.

Brooo! First off, great video! Thanks for always breaking it down for us. I've always admired your ability to story tell on this platform and it is something I work on improving with each video I make!. I also appreciated hearing you speak about James and how he was able to rise above his barriers and hardships because its such a powerful story that hits close to home for a lot of people. Your opinion on how the sneaker was rolled out was spot on for me as I definitely was one that was NOT able to get my hands on the sneaker mainly due to not having the opportunity to submit an in store raffle. I didn't stand a chance in the other options. I experienced a lot of grief because of it (LOL.) Overall, his story and the execution of this sneaker brought tears to my eyes and I'm soooo sad that I wasn't able to cop. If it drops on SNKRS, I pray I catch that W because this is a sneaker I'd cherish for the rest of my life.

It’s so weird to make sure men get this shoe when the story behind it is about women and for men who don’t give af about women getting this shoe makes no sense to me; it’s an issue that a lot of men refuse to address, and some men act like it’s not that big of a deal when it is. I agree with lot‘s of points, but I also have to disagree with a few. You are correct, sending most f&f pairs out to men was a stupid move and the women only in store raffle excluded way to many women around the US. My step-mom wanted to get a pair, but she doesn‘t live in one of those 3 cities - like many other women. However, I have to disagree with you about the whole including men thing. Sure it‘s a business move, but other than that why should it be women exclusive? The shoe is called „raised by women“ and not „women only. Lot‘s of people - me included - were raised by a single mom and experienced at least some of the things James Whitner talked abourt. This shoe is not meant as a women’s only pair, but as a pair for people raised by single moms or in general for people who were inspired by their mom to strive for higher things. Otherwise it was a dope review.

Being raised by women isn’t exclusive to women so I think this shoe was intended to be all inclusive while paying homage to the ladies. James giving the ladies 1st dibs was an extra bonus and played into the theme of the kicks perfectly in my opinion. I’m definitely putting the AMM 3s in my top 10 since the theme of the shoe really touched me, very dope and elegant collaboration.👏🏾

My brother he’ll yeah 💯 on the truth. I live in Michigan and we never get exclusive drops 💧, I called Nike and they told me that I need to write them a letter about including us in the exclusive drop. Why do I need to do that when I’m on the phone explaining this to them, smh. Great video 💯.

I think you missed the mark on saying how men don’t care what woman they have to step on to get a pair. I thought that was a bit dramatic. But one thing I do agree with you on is a bigger released to allow women to get their pair, but do I feel like it should be exclusive to women. You read what he was trying to accomplish by this shoe, but then go against it by saying it should only be for women. What about that man or boy who connects with the story “Raised by Women” should he be excluded? Absolutely not. We have to get away from thinking women don’t have a shot at shoes. We all take our “L” week in and week out on the sneakers app.

The kick looks good. I think you went a little over board about the men wearing the sneaker. Jordan Brand has been releasing women exclusive colors for the past few years and men (particularly resellers) has been gobbling them up. The market share for men to women in to sneakers is real high for men - especially now. Everyone will be able to get a pair including women if they made more pairs and made it an insane GR. Sneaker influencers (those being seeded probably) are most likely all men and very little women......don't let political correctness and how certain men treat women cloud your judgement.
