Actually, local productions have improved over the years. I mean, they arent top notch, but given the budget, certain local dramas had done pretty well. As compared to some other examples Singaporeans often bring up to compare with local TV such as TVB dramas or Taiwanese dramas, I think comparatively, TVB and taiwanese dramas had gone downhill over the years, an example is the tuo qiang shi jie (陀枪师姐) classic reboot, which IMHO was a major disaster. And also, Jesseca Liu's dress is so classy!
