Sneaking onto the World's Most Infected Island

This island is covered in human skeletons...
Dead Man's Island is a small marsh island in the south of England that was used as a dumping ground for 100's of skeletons that are infected with the Black Plague and left to rot on it.
Everyone is banned from stepping foot on the island, and the area is surrounded by miles of treacherous quicksand, but the locals say it is a common sight to see washed up skulls and bones of the plague victims.
Clearly if there are 100's of skeletons infected with the plague they should be cleaned up right???
Well, for some reason the rumours say that is not the case...
Let's go find out if this island really is covered in black plague victims...

As a first responder I was taught about the dangers of dealing with sick of in texted people. I was taught always wear rubber gloves and ppe like masks and glasses, one of the number one things is never let the contaminanted gloves touch your face or skin. Those bones aren't infectious anymore and even if they are, there is a cure for the Plague nowadays, as well as antibiotic treatments. Not to mention that even to this day, there are small outbreaks of the Plague, but those are only limited to local outbreaks.

the reason why the black plague was so deadly was because people didnt know what caused it and how to cure it. people didnt even know about germs back then. nowdays we have the knowledge to cure it and theres only a 10% of dying to it. plus peoples bodies have evolved to not get sick from it. because people died from the plague, they couldnt have kids/give them the same gene that made them weak to the virus. the people that lived/survived the plague typically had a gene that helped them sruvive it, which they gave to their kids and everyone after them. so even if he did cause another pandemic it wouldnt be nearly close to how bad it was in the 1300s. he would most likely be quarantined until he was no longer showing symptoms/no longer sick🫶

Not to alarm you, or anything but to this very day, the Plague is still around and infecting people. There have been several small outbreaks of it over the course of the last twenty years, with the only bigger outbreak having been on Madagascar and even that outbreak didn't became a global pandemic. Those bones only hold preserved DNA of the Y. Pestis strain, but the virus is dead. It can't survive long without a living host.
