I've had one for years. I use the Pete when I'm going to a formal gathering. I use this with suits and or a sports jacket. Only one person knew what it was. It was a family member and he's almost into firearms as much as me. People have asked me what is that?, I answer it's my PDA. Personal Defense Apratious.

When people aske me what is the case for, and they rarely ever do, I just tell them it's my Diabetes Medication Kit. I'm not a Diabetic, but usually they drop the subject. I also don't try to hide it, and it out in the open. It's so fancy, that I've had cops next to me, and they don't even look. I've carried it to the mall, grocery stores, convenience stores, and at church no one notices it or even looks. For a small weapon, it works great. I've been carrying my Sneaky Pete's for over 4 years and it still look brand new.

A very comfortable carry! I have one for my S&W M&P9, Shield EZ (9mm) and my Ruger SR22 (22LR). Also (when necessary), I "identify" it as my "emergency kit." I have asthma and an emergency inhaler is never far from me, so that is all I need to say, and when asked, the question is quickly dropped. I also have a wrap-around seat in my Jetta, and it really isn't a big problem to wear the 'belt-loop' version. I do have to shift a bit to get into my seat-belt, but after I'm in and adjusted, it's not uncomfortable. I have an IWB holster for my 9mm and a leg-holster for my 22LR but I prefer the comfort of my SneakyPete. And my firearm feels very secure in this holster. I've never grabbed the trigger when withdrawing my weapon. Its a great product.

Thanks for the video. Would have been helpful to see these worn for demo purposes so we can get a sense of how big or small they may actually be for a certain gun (e.g., G42)

Thank-you. Once we have our studio operational again we can put up a follow-up showing what they look like in use. They are not particularly stylish (big box on your hip) but they fill a gap in carry options.

I carry my Shield on my left hip (cross draw) because when I am in my truck the seat belt interferes with the SP holster. On my left hip frees up my hand and the seat belt does not interfere.

I appreciate the video. I'd like to suggest that you model/demonstrate using one on your person. It would be one step closer to trying one first hand. Keep up the great content :)

I like the concept but I was wondering if they wouldn't work better if the flap/magnets were on the top, then the flap would just drop down to access the weapon instead of having to reach under and pull the flap up.

That's a BRILLIANT idea. And if SP is reading, they'll probably steal it😊

I am looking to get one for my M&P Shield 9. One of the advantages I haven't seen mentioned is that, if you are carrying a firearm but for some reason need to leave it in the car (say, going to a school or a federal building), you can just remove the whole holster+gun and put it into the car safe, without having to expose the firearm in the process. The other advantage is that the firearm can remain concealed when you are using the restroom -- the guy in the next stall can't see it though the bottom opening of the stall divider.

I have one for my G26 , I have to make sure I change the magazine to a one without pinkie extender and it is very heavy on the belt and people look at you like what is that, You back in the 80's lol. In my opinion I wouldn't purchase another one and mine collects dust.

That awkward draw looks like it could result in a dropped weapon under stress.
@HammerStriker7 жыл бұрын
You definitely have to practice (with an unloaded weapon) on this type of holster due to there being more than one thing that has to happen. These are not the best choice for day-to-day carry if any of the other possible options will work.
@pbosche4 жыл бұрын
I would practice pulling with the middle finger as well, not the index finger which requires changing grip.
@laurencea99323 жыл бұрын
@@pbosche I see that too. Would do the same thing.

Agree with @Carp Denim and seems much more instinctive and easy to use middle finger

not the way to draw you gun using 1st finger you use the last 2 fingers(ring and pinky to draw your weapon and you will not drop it trying to draw the wrong way

Imo it a bad idea for holster along with pocket holsters. When a mugger get close to you , which people refuse to understand a successful mugger knows how to. He will put the gun on you and pat down you pocket (holster) and waist and find your sneaky let's holster. Now the attacker has your gun if you choosed not to fight which would be wise to let them have it and live another day. Appendix is the way to go.

@MrJaydeep7774 жыл бұрын
Looks like a pretty slow draw.
@HammerStriker4 жыл бұрын
On a table like this, yes. However, with it on your belt like it should be, once you practice a bit it can actually be faster than having to move a shirt out of the way first.
@michaelbrohl16257 жыл бұрын
Looks like it would be very easy to accidentally grab the trigger instead of the grip. Especially if in a rushed stressful situation. It looks dangerous to me. I'll pass.
