The Super NES had a strong first year in terms of software, with many of the console's most beloved titles arriving shortly after launch. Not every early SNES game is a certified classic, though. Let's rank every launch-era SNES and Super Famicom game to find the best and the worst of the bunch!

I worked all summer break to be able to buy my SNES. It was my first "big" purchase made with money I had earned (I was 12 at the time). I got the system with SMW, SimCity and some obscure game called Drakkhen that became an obsession. I couldn't wait to get home and hook it up to the TV so I opened the box on the back of my parent's car to read the manuals during the ride home (anyone else did that as a kid?). I honestly haven't felt that kind of excitement with a new console for a long time. I think the last time I was super excited for one was during the Xbox360/PS3 era.

That was what it was for me, though either my brother or sis got the SNES (the other a Genesis) so of course I had to sneak in their rooms to play 'em (had an NES myself).

Nobunaga’s Ambition is actually quite simple and it plays like a board game, it just has the Koei-ism of trying to imply much more sophistication than it actually has. It’s pretty addicting once you figure out how to play it.

My friend's idea for the "Femboy Hooter's" concept is, instead of a boring orange and white outfit and just some short shorts, it's a full "Vegas Showgirl" type outfit with plumage done up like Indian peafowl (metallic blue, green, and violet). He wants the cuisine to be Mumbai and Punjab street food style (samosas, dahi puri, and more) and the restaurant name is brilliant: "Peacox". I would want to *work* at this restaurant, let alone just visit it.

My favorite Final Fantasy overall is PS1 FF Tactics. FFV is my favorite main series game. I love the job system...and I love blue mages with all of my heart. If the story for FFT wasn't so damn good, I might rank FFTA2 higher based solely on the available jobs.

Pilotwings is good, but Pilotwings 64 is still my favorite flight sim type game ever released. Also...Birdman music in Pilotwings 64 is probably the best song on the entire console.

SD Hero Soukessen: Taose! Aku no Gundan is the best game that Banpresto ever released. It's one of the best Famicom games that never got a NES release.

I wrote a tier list of my personal opinions for all of these that I actually know! Because I'm sad. S+ - F-Zero, Gradius III, Link to the Past, Super Castlevania 4 S - Super Mario World, Pilotwings, Super Fire Pro Wrestling, Lemmings, Final Fantasy 4 A - ActRaiser, Darius Twin, Earth Defense Force, Super R-Type, Sim City, UN Squadron, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Super Ghouls and Ghosts B - Populus, Final Fight, Jaleco Rally Big Run, HAL's Hole in One Golf, Dungeon Master, Raiden Trad, Thunder Spirits, Super Tennis, Super Soccer, Smart Ball, Joe and Mac C - SD The Great Battle, Drakkhen, Gdleen, D-Force, RPM Racing, Spanky's Quest, Hyper Zone, Super Baseball Simulator 1.000, D - Ka-Blooey, SimEarth, John Madden Football, Super Bases Loaded, F - Ultraman, Dickhead's Combat Basketball, Home Alone Pit Fighter - Pit-Fighter Unrankable - All Romance of the Three Kingdom games, Nobunaga's Ambition's Fuckfest, Shogi, Ys 3 and whatever else I do wanna say that *no* version of Pit-Fighter is good. The arcade, the very best version, is still an utterly 5 out of 10 game that stopped mattering about four seconds after it was released. But there are PLAYABLE versions of Pit-Fighter like the arcade, Mega Drive, and Atari Lynx.

it's such a shame they never localized the sequels after legend of he mystical ninja, that game was really special.

4:32:00 why do so many obscure, trashy rpgs do this, in the *beginning* of the game throw the player a battle with a bazillion monsters. The developers have to know this sucks. Unless people actually enjoy this kind of thing but even when I was more of a hardcore turn-based RPG player I *hated* it when games did this. Edit: and they can summon more of themselves, great.
