Omg I was super into DBZ as a kid so my mom surprised me with a copy of this game she bought on eBay. When I turned it on she was super disappointed and apologized about it being only in Japanese, but I told her it was great! I played this for HOURS DAILY. Didn’t know that I was doing but GOKU 😃 PICCOLO and the whole gang was there! Good times.

This and Dragonball Z Legends are my 2 favorite Dragon ball games. This game is so accurate how you can use higher card numbers to increase your spirit job or kaipken. Vegeta was disobedient. So perfect. I took advantage of the training houses I want to play it now.

What I love about this channel, is that I can just skip to the parts I never got to see as a kid, and not have to go through the horrible gameplay of these terrible old games. This is my second snes games as a kid, i beat this game for almost a year. I kinda stuck to find Dendee. I already knew the mechanic since a played dbz 2 on nes. What a glorious Day back then.

I'm positively mystified why this game hasn't received any romhacks extending the story, or flat-out remakes. It's by far one of the best DBZ games ever made, and definitely didn't mess around in terms of difficulty. If you knew what you were doing and always came prepared, the game was a breeze. But if you didn't, it could be downright torturously hard - so many ways every encounter could go! But then, successfully beating a boss who was like 4x stronger than your best guy through the use of luck, items and perseverance was the most rewarding of gaming experiences one can imagine. Also, it's probably THE single best game at rendering the power fantasy, since your powelevel matters a lot, and if you're much stronger than your foes, it shows in the most satisfying way. You don't get that with modern games where all enemies are always scaled up to you. So yeah, I really do hope someone takes this game and extends it to the Cell and Buu arcs at least.

so after i walked around and left the screen and came back and vegeta was there with goku? i guess although he kinda looks more like yamcha than my goku sprite i'm moving around. when i get in a random battle it's with 5 gold saibamen and it won't let me run away. killed a few of them and then it puts me in a random battle with just goku vs vegeta like when you're walking around with gohan trying to get to goku. One of the best DBZ games i played. I remeber that when you dind't trained gohan to hard you could fight nappa and vegeta with all Z characters and when you trained gohan to a higher lvl before collecting other z characters they where already at the spot with nappa and really weak lol. I Wish they would make a good game for pc,ps4 or xbox like this RPG. Something like start as a saiyen you can create yourself and send to earth with goku and then change possible outcomes like kill goku or became that strong that you are already stronger then nappa when you meet master roshi. or think about activate android 18 before going to namek or so.
