This is fake unless the player can tell me how at 14:30 he knows the mini boss hits the wall and when he doesn't. I play the game only on hard and that mini boss always eats most of my lifes. As far as I know there is no way to know when he will crush you on the wall.

It's not 'Fake'. The description clearly says that it uses savestates. Which means that we're just seeing the bits where the player survived. The player simply reloaded their savestates when they died. This feature is in the Contra collection as well@@gfdgdfgdfgdfggfdgdfgdfgdfg9709

I like the ending change. In the original, the heroes are shown in military decorum to be rewarded for their exploits. But this one has the head shot of the Probotector, meaning that it’s on standby to get ready to kick ass when the time comes.

While the idea of putting in shirtless macho action hero dudes may seem more consistent with the American concept of the 1980's movies the Contra games were supposedly based on, it's not so sensible as sending a couple of armored robots that look like Chappie who can endure the dangers much better realistically.

Not upon original release in Europe at the time. It was indeed _Super Probotector_ in that continent, but the recent re-release on the SNES Mini went back to the original _Contra III: The Alien Wars_ familiar to those in the other continents all those years ago.

Henell Go Yea, but in europe some contries have or had very strict laws regarding violence and such. (for an example look up the german variant of the left 4 dead cover). So contra was released here as probotector, the same game, reskinned with robots and aliens. I wasn't aware they did that for contra on the SNES too, I only knew of the one on the NES.

The 420th SNES longplay... how appropriate. Someone had to be high to make a combat robot that dies/deactivates on a single hit! Ages-past regional censorship aside coughcoughgermanycoughcough, a good playthrough. Lot of weapons changes... like in a COD campaign mode...

Get out of here! Yes, I beat this game after many, many attempts years ago, but I seriously never realized that in Level 2 you can dodge the bullets by lying down. Anyway, one of the best games ever, with amazing bosses that often require a very strategic approach. That boss where you have to cling to the missiles drove me nuts. The damage this beast could take! And when you watch this and think it looks easy, you have to remember that what you don't see on the screen is the adrenaline rush and the wrecked nerves, when you jump from missile to missile knowing that one mistake will put you back to square one...
