I know, and those were the days, back when they were annual title contenders unlike now! Bummer that guy from Chicago who is M.J. almost always got in their way when it came to that. Them barely making the playoffs as a bottom seeded team, while getting totally thrashed in the first round by a much superior opponent is considered to be a "successful season" to them now, what with how far down they've sure fallen from the early 2000's, onward! I was the kid that actually played sports and hated playing them on video games. So I had a friend that only played video games and never played sports who had this game. We would play it and I would be so bored I only ever got entertainment from shooting it from half court, ALL THE TIME just to hear "From down town!" and never really engaged in the real game or played a decent match against my friend cause, in the back of my mind I just wanted to play MK3 or SF2.

No music during the game play. I could never understand that because the music that is in the game sounds beautiful so it is a real shame that there is no music while playing. Different graphics, team fire (you can throw alleys and double dunks three possessions in a row without letting the other team score and the ball is blue flamed) NBA Showtime NBA on NBC is a similar game like hangtime but much better in graphic and sound.
