The formula of getting to a new region and solving all of their issues is getting old I think it's a great idea to go back to older regions and tie everything together before reaching main snezhnaya All of the past regions have effectively seen zero development since their archon quest was finished, and I feel like there are a lot of people that have unfinished business with snezhnaya An interconnected story involving multiple regions and characters sounds great, some of my favorite moments are seeing characters outside their home region All of neuvillette's voice lines regarding the archons are about him desiring to judge them for usurping the power of the elemental dragons, that is something that we really need to see

This is why I'm all for extending Snezhnaya into 2 years. There's absolutely no way they can wrap up the Snezhnaya story, plus introduce all the Harbingers and the archon in a single year. Unless people want the story to be rushed and most of the Harbingers to be unplayable, having it be a 2 year project gives the Hoyo team more time to build it all out.

Ok, hear me out. What if Nod Krai *is* the main course, and the actual region itself is a long dessert with its own unique flavor. I think that Nod Krai may be a good opportunity for the player to not only get used to the cold, but also keep the player alert since Snezhnaya is supposedly the most hostile nation due to the fact we’ve encountered the fatui so many times. It wouldn’t be surprising if the people of Snezhnaya would be cold to us (get it?). But, if we have someone from within the harbinger guide us through Nod Krai, say Columbina, then the player would warm up to her. But then at the peak of the Nod Krai arc, we’d have a brief boss battle against Columbina (since she was attached to La Signora and we sorta killed her). After the fight ends, she officially announces that she’s convinced to join us on our journey. Then again this is a long cry for what HoYo is planning, and what I said is all a theory on what could happen in later patches.

And, theres no specific release or any confirmation of delays, we'll have to see after they confirm it. I think about Nod-Krai the same way I think about games that prompt you like “Continuing will progress the main story to the end. Are you sure you want to Continue?” It’s like Hoyo’s way of going back and doing all the side quests you missed before finishing the game. And let’s not forget that Modstat is a mostly unexplored part of the game, Lore-wise. It’s so unexplored that Genshin doesn’t even consider it the first Chapter. Chapter 1 of the Archon Quests starts in Liyue. All of Venti’s stuff was the “Prologue”. Aaaaand do we reaaaaally wanna go to the end of the story so soon? We all love this game. If they can tack in a great story again before getting to the final chapter then great!

If 6.x does end up focusing on a lot of other locations across Teyvat, I hope it involves characters from all nations too. I would love to see characters from all over interact with each other in a big way (we already get this in events with nations crossing over but I’d love to see it in more important stories like the archon quest). I also like the idea that this might fill in the gaps in the game’s map. There are still some areas that feel weirdly hidden for some reason. I would love to see the map to finally fill the whole screen with explorable areas when I view the game map. My concern now is if this doesn’t end up being what we expect like having great overarching stories, great map expansions, etc or if it doesn’t deliver as well as we thought that it might feel like a giant series of filler patches (I hope I’m wrong with this one). Are we even gonna get the Cryo archon in 6.x? My other concern is are we gonna get more restrictive mechanics like in Natlan? They gave us Pneuma and Ousia in Fontaine and while that one barely makes an impact in gameplay, Natlan’s nightsoul blessing is a bit different. I get that they need to implement new mechanics to get us to pull new characters but I wish they don’t do it the way they did Natlan’s mechanics. It’s creative and can be fun at times but I have so many problems with it that it would take me so much time to explain them in just one comment lol. With Nod Krai being the focus of 6.x and Shneznaya releasing in 7.x, I’m concerned that they might release two waves of characters with unique mechanics similar to Pneumousia and Nightsoul (new mechanic in 6.0 and new one in 7.0). If they do, I hope they make improvements with how they implemented Nightsoul blessing and make it work well with older characters, not have exploration mechanics that’s only good in their respective regions, and not gatekeep quality of life features behind limited characters (like grapple with Kinich, flying with Chasca and Mavuika, etc). I hope they do a good balance of between Pneumousia and Nightsoul where Pneumousia does not feel restrictive but feels useless sometimes and Nightsoul being super interesting and at times fun but feeling pretty restrictive. I hope this makes sense.

I take all of that with a grain of salt, because this seem weird. After all, they says long ago that chapter 6 would be Scheznaya. So maybe yes, Nod krai is for 6.0, but the main city appear later in the update (like 6.2 or later), and this would be different from every other nation where the main city is one of the first things you visit in the new region. Also, I see a full update series with only new side region to other nation after scheznaya, since Khaenriah arc isn't numbered, and many things could happen before khaenriah. Also, I see more the mare jivari for the 5.x update, since it's a part of Natlan. It would probably be a region like petrichor and the sea of begone eras, with one part in Teyvat and an other part outside teyvat. But I wait the 5.4 beta to confirm if another region is planned after the great volcano of Tollan and the collective of plenty. If we doesn't reach 270 pyrocculus in 5.4, 100% another region for natlan is planned.

It seems like from this speculation that Chapter 6 of the Archon story may be split into 2 parts then, Nord-Krai and the mystery surrounding that region, then we go into Snezhnaya in 7.0 to confront the Tsaritsa and the remaining Harbingers. This could actually be a really good idea, particularly for the cryo characters that get sparce reruns. And given the fact that the nod krai story will take place throughout the map, they could rerun those same characters with each new region addition (eula for dorman port, shenhe for black Cliff forge, efc). Of course this is my personal hope and speculation on what exactly hoyo is thinking n I could be off base completely BUT it's a good idea for the players retention and just a generally good business tactic

Honestly I feel like this is very appropriate approach considering that smezhnaya is the last elemental region and is probably the second to last acts of the teyvat chapter. Not to mention there are 11 fatui harbingers (10 alive) so there would be no way to release all those characters one region at a time, even if 7.x releases multiple harbingers. Extending the release of snezhnaya city allows for all the content that needs to be added. Nod Krai’s automation also give the Marionette a place to be released and more info about her.

In the live stream they said that those hints are planned to come within the next 6 months, which means Nod Krai is expected to come before the summer event patch, it will still be part of 5.x updates and Snezhnaya can still be in 6.x.

I personally don’t mind waiting longer for the main part of snezhnya because i am gonna be super duper sad when genshin’s story comes to an end. I don’t see it at them dragging it out, I see it as them creating the most interesting story possible and not skipping over any details or bits of lore of characters.

I disagree with a point in the video that Hoyoverse is milking the game by delaying Snezhnaya. If they truly were, Signora and Capitano would be playable. The Teyvat Story Teaser releases 4+ years ago so its extremely likely that they thought of better ways to tell the story.

And maybe its just that they need more time bc they want Sneznaya and its quests to be the best from all regions also i think that the new areas before Sneznaya realise is good idea as if the Sneznaya quests will be all over teyvat adding more interesting places just makes sense. And one more thing, Hoyo never gave us the realise date so it was practically never been delayed. Sorry if the grammar is bad english is my 2nd language.

Nod Krai will come in Natlan patch cycle, they talked about the content to release soon in that segment of the stream, "soon" being like "in next 6 months" which is barely close to 6.0, but not enough

I started freshman year of Highschool when this game came out and am currently on a gap year I swear this game will prob take all of college to finish considering we still have the story with the heavenly principles and at least 1 or 2 more elements after cryo to be added and all the locations after we get past the fake sky

I think since you claimed that the 7.x will be all 6 other regions included aswell, they are likely making 6.x snezhnaya focused, then 7.x fatui/teyvat based

They set up the story arcs in the beginning and I don't think they'll stretch them out, at least not too much. Nod-Krai is, imo, going to connect whatever happens after Natlan and is the reason we don't get a 5.8 version and mfing Skirk pops up at the end, to the beginning of our collusion(or clash) with the Fatui. At most they are gonna stretch these last 2 arc to a total length of 3 years instead of 2, I can't see them ''milking'' their original 5 y/o storyline any further. Way more likely is that they are gonna just add more after they are done with the ''main story''. Once again, that timeline is 5 years old to the public, originally much older likely.

I'm actually hyped for this if it's true, I like the idea of them wrapping up some loose ends in a world tour before entering the final arc, and I like the idea of them giving us a small taste of Snezhnaya before we get to the full story, I don't want it to be rushed like Inazuma where there was too much going on and not enough time to tell the story properly. Mondstadt in particular needs some attention again, there's so much left to unpack there. Also, there's too many Harbingers for us to get through yet and I was wondering how we were going to manage all of them in one nation in a satisfying way. Plus, the game has been building up to the Hexenzirkel being more important lately, with Imaginarium Theater and Simulanka being center stage, so I wonder if we'll finally get to learn more about them, and there's also Durin. We might finally get to meet Alice and it'd be a lot to get through in one version alone.

ykw I'm not even mad about it cos it just means Snezhnaya will be full of lore and hopefully a huge jump in story quality, lore, characters and regions from Natlan. the only downside is that characters may get mischaracterised more than they are. It would keep us on our toes wondering what will happen in 7.0 and is a good marketing strategy from hoyo so we keep playing to find out what will happen etc.

I'm a bit sad about the delay, but if Hoyo is doing this to build up more hype then I'm sure Snezhnaya will be really worth the wait. And also, hearing there will be expansions of other regions is super exciting, places we have been hearing for so long finally being released is awesome, specially the Mare Jivari, that's gonna be so cool.

Very interesting decision, but one I can get behind. I wonder if we're gonna get some big names, not just Columbina, but Alice, Varka, Madam Ping, maybe some of the sinners or the hexen witches. No new archon is gonna be iffy for them with sales, but some of those long awaited people could make up for it.

From a business stand point, I agree and it is valid. Although, i think an update like this is due. With getting new teased and antecipated regions and characters, without shifting focus from the main region. Alongside they taking time to polish the story and mechanics, and even perfecting the characters and their kits. Although with the purpose of milking us, tbh I want that the game i love is as perfect and cohesive, and enjoyable.

Diluc's story mentions that he has an associate in Snezhnaya, we might be meeting them in Nord Krai due to this said company relying in information and such after they helped Diluc escape the Fatui's Manhunt.

I mean, i think it's for the better this move. Snezhynaya is one of the final arcs and the most important one too. It will be 7.0 or something for snezhnaya to be released. And after that. There might only be khaenriah or other nations filler patches and afterwards the teyvat chapter is over and the game will fall off ( if they don't make a part 2 like in honkai but it will be harder for hoyo to write a story ) the side regions will give us more time to enjoy the game before everything ends.

I think this is also a good opportunity for mihoyo to "re release" their old characters into new version of them as new characters. Like 5* version of Lisa or new look and new gameplay of keqing, just like how other gacha games did
