I do find it especially interesting concerning Morax as he is the ONE god who has seemingly chosen to “evolve”, as the exuvia is akin to that of like a shed skin I reference to an insect. I also find it interesting in that when he quotes Ei he almost seems to be doing so mockingly(?) or at least in a tongue in cheek manner. Another thing, I do find it interesting that a vishap with coral like tree limbs on its body DID in fact exist with azdhaha (another point for potential Geo Sovereign theory) Edit: I also find it suspect that when he talks of what he knows, he seems to imply that he is PHYSICALLY unable to tell you what he knows, not that he couldn't a lot of his word choice. How it's phrased implies his contract LITERALLY prevents him from saying anything. Which is interesting because NO other god has been placed under some such restriction. Of course this could also just mean he is smart enough not to push buttons to risk liyue, but lemme cope.
@anaplaysstuff
@anaplaysstuff Ай бұрын
I've thought that about his contracts too. Like...yes, he's the "god of contracts", etc. But there's definitely a vibe from him when he refers to the contracts he is bound by that suggests that binding might be more literal than just, "I can't because I've got too much honor to break a contract I've made". Like on the level of "contracts" being for him what paths are to Aeons in HSR (I am not saying he is like an Aeon, that's not the point) since they can't sway from their paths (without dying or becoming nonexistent or something).

He said he always "honored the contract" I don't think he physically can't say, more that he has recieved something in return of his silence, afterall he's the hod of contract, and faireness. I mentionned that in another comment but the ultimate journey of an Adeptus is to understand the laws of the world. Of course the Prime of the Adepti had to know things that the common folk is not privy of. The most intriguing part is how he is still alive and thriving when other gods and people who knew as much were framed for blasphemy and are all dead and gone.

He's also wording certain things very oddly, that is easy to miss in his story quests if you haven't played Sumeru first. He talks about the traveller seing the 'true history' and calls him a kind of backup for Teyvats history. He also mentions that the rocks remember true history as well, which kinda sounds odd, when it's supposedly Irminsul that should be doing that. He's also oddly unaffected by the Overwriting from Irminsul as he states in one of his voicelines, that there's only two Archons from the Archon war remaining. Irminsul has the info that there's three of them. There's still the unsolved mystery what the contract with the Tsaritsa entailed that he was willing to give away his Gnosis for. Or rather, what was worth the risk possibly drawing Celestias ire, because that's definitely not something a nice little cog in the system should be doing.

Good to see someone tackling this topic. Teyvat’s “gods” have always bothered me. Where did they come from? Are they effectively one “superspecies” like different dragons are? If not, then what classifies them as “gods?” Why were there so many? What necessitated the Archon War? Why was the Archon War seemingly a non-issue in Sumeru? Why did Natlan wind up with a human Archon, what happened to their gods? If they were planted by Celestia (which seems to be implied by Orobashi being of the Human Realm), why? This’ll be fun to watch as I am largely quarantined this holiday with COVID.

Because there were literally three super Gods and whole dendro Sovereign in Sumeru who fought off all the other Gods from their territory, and we know that many Gods did tried to take Sumeru like Rimus who losed and escaped and other Gods who became remnants which are scattered all over the desert. You know, being an ordinary random god, there's not much you can do to be written in history when you fighting against God Angel, God King, God Irminsul and Dendro Sovereign. So far, the Natlan has not been completed and it is impossible to say for sure, from current information, Xbalanque became the Pyro Archon because he took all the power from the Pyro Dragon after killing him, and this happened because Sage prepared everything so that whoever kills the Pyro Dragon would receive his power, and then when Xbalanque became the Archon, Shade of Death was interested in him, and she changed the rules of becoming a Pyro Archon so that ordinary humans could become next Pyro Archon. And the Gods didn't come to Natlan because of the gigantic amount of Abyss after the War of Vengeance, the gigantic number of living ancient dragons, the presence of Shade of Death and the rampaging Pyro Sovereign.

It may be that there are multiple species which are all called "gods" due to their common characteristics. Wolfie's story about boars suggests that some angels became Seelie, while others became something else - they retained their power, but lost their original personalities. So it is possible that these gods were angels. Goddess of Flowers was a proper angel, without mutating into anything, yet was still recognized as a god. Egeria was born a god. Rukkadevata (or perhaps one of her erased predecessors) seems to have appeared retroactively, like the Sacred Sakura, along with current Irminsul. And legends tell that Vision-holders can become gods. Speaking of Vision-holders, if Visions are made from Archons, is getting a Vision like being grafted Bloodbranch Coral? It certainly makes you an unusually powerful human.

you know, Zhongli being a dragon who turned away from his kin to bow before the new world order would explain why Neuvillette is specially antagonistic towards "Deus Auri" in his voicelines; with the other archons he's like "nothing personal just business" but with Morax it's on sight! XD

You can read it like that, but he also said there is no physical fight that could transpire between them and I don't think a Dragon as motivated as him would put such restrictions on how he would react to an usurper if there wasn't a reason, but I don't beleive the reason is him being a dragon too... I don't think there is as much animosity as people believe for the sake of headcannon.

As an Adepti he's supposed to have a lot of mystique surrounding his origins not being related to the gods or Teyvat, which could suggest that Zhongli comes from beyond. To go from all that to another ancient Vishap like the Sage or Och-Kan that betrayed their own kin would be lame. Especially after he had such a good relationship with Azhdaha and the Adepti you want to tell me after all that, now he's just some traitor, which would only prove Azhdaha's suspicions about him correct but in an even worse way. Nah man, that's totally lame. Zhongli as a Shade or Solar Chariot was way better lore than him being some random dragon traitor like the Sage.

All we do know, is that Morax was an energetic young man during the Archon War, which was about 3700-2000 years ago. At which point, he should be already at least 2000 years old. That, and Nahida being a 500-year-old little girl. I guess this means dividing the gods' lifespan by 100 is a good enough approximation to get their human age.

Very nice video! I have to say, I am very happy that someone finally addresses the topic of Godhood and shards of the Primordial one; it has been ignored for quite a long time. I would also like to propose that perhaps "Divinity" and a Descender's "Will" may be synonymous, considering that every descender beforehand has held this insane Power that seemingly makes even the Dragons bleak in comparison, while also recordedly being the ONLY thing that makes them "descenders", aside from them not belonging to the order of Teyvat (though this attribute is not that important). For instance, imagine "Will" as the idea of "shaping the world according to your ambition", an universal power that is related to the Imaginary and allows to manipulate things in the "imaginary realm" (world of Ideas, as per Plato and later on Gnosticism) to do the same thing in the physical realm, 'as above, so below', or as Zhongli says in his ultimate "Heaven moves, Earth follows". The fact that each God is divided to their own certain "domain" in which they can exercise Power may also be just because of this, as each God's Power is almost entirely unique to them (despite all coming from the same soure, as per the Item "Bit of Aerosiderite"; "It is said that many defeated gods refused to live under the new order of The Seven, so they fled to remote islands and became evil gods. However, their powers came from the same source as Rex Lapis, separate from this all-devouring darkness"), as indicated by things such as Rex Lapis being the only God capable of creating Mora and transmutating things into Gold (dialogues of the desert sages: "The Ibis King brought forth another rare being, one who had accidentally touched the tomb and remains of an ancient god, and been cursed. Due to the curse, anything touched by both his hands would slowly become pure silver - after all, from today, we know that transformation into gold and Mora is the sole province of Deus Auri."). Moreover, each God has a certain "title", or even multiple, to which their domain of Power adheres; the God of Salt, the God of Gold, the God of Thunder and so many others, they're barely countable. A "Descender" has enough "Will" to 'rival an entire world'; if taking my interpretation, potentially speaking, a Descender has the Power to shape "worlds" according to their "Will", in other words, has the power to manipulate almost every single aspect of Reality, or rather the fabric that substantiates it, and Gods are beings that were given a part of this "Dominion over World", a Form of Authority that is similar to the Elemental Draconic Authority, yet goes beyond just the manipulation of certain Elements, but rather certain "concepts", as per the amalgamations of imaginary energy that they are. This is why each God has a certain "Concept" their "Divine Authority" (I just like calling it that) is limited to, be it a certain material (salt is the prime example), an action (for example, Mavuika's description of her E ability mentions that the Pyro Archon has a Power known as "Authority over conflict", conflict being one such concept) or even a metaphysical concept (such as Time, Death, life and Void/space, namely the four Shades especially). those are just my thoughts regarding the shards of the primordial one. I hope it wasn't too much of a disarrayed rant! PS: about the "Seven sage-monks", Deshret may not have been talking about the Archons, or rather he was talking about the Seven Sages that were under his command, a group of random divine or generally powerful beings he adopted (willingly or unwillingly from their sides), Apep was part of that. It was mentioned in the weapon I referenced earlier, "dialogues of the desert sages" and also by an NPC in the temple of silence, Cyno's second story quest. and PPS: I'd like to address your terminology regarding the Vishaps and Saurians; the Vishaps specifically are not a new invention that came after the "ancient Dragons", they ARE the ancient Dragons. More specifically, the Vishaps were the original inhabitants of the Light realm (you could call them the general Fauna and Flore since they seemed to fill out every goddamn ecosystemial role an animal can have within a world considering what Alice said in the KFC glider (aside from the Adepti and other Elemental life forms existing alongside them tbut that's not important right now) with the Seven Sovereigns (which I will crucify you for not including Azhdaha among them /j) simply being seven special Vishaps from among the masses ruling over the rest, being the "Supereme rulers" and "true Dragons" of the Light realm (for clearance, the Vishaps are described to be "lizard Dragons" rather than "true Dragons", yet have the potential to become real Dragons), which is likely connected to how the Loong Dragon is also considered to be the 'strongest animal' that can possibly exist because of how it has the strongest features of every Animal (claws of a Tiger, sturdy skin akin to a tortoise's shell and so on, there are many variations on this), making the "True Dragons" simply be "The Seven Apex life forms of the Elemental Animal kingdom", or so I think at least. The Vishaps are simply the common species of "inferior Dragons" which all follow their seven "Dragon Kings" upon every command, just like how the Geo Vishaps as a race in their entirety followed Azhdaha into his Fight against Morax for example. the Saurians however evolved from the Pyro Vishaps in Natlan that were under the rule of Xiuhcoatl. they are in turn indeed a new thing. on the topic of "Pyro Vishaps", the way that all different groups of Vishaps are separated into seven based on each Element (which they can manipulate) and are ruled over by one "Ruler" who was originally part of them... Doesn't that remind us of the Vidyadhara, a Branch of Long's scions in HSR? with each having a type of power capable of manipulating a different Element (for example, the Loufu's Vidyadhara under Imbibitor Lunae have Cloudhymn, the power to control Water, whereas other ship's Vidyadhara have other powers such as Fire, Ice and Wind).

In the book of Enoch, one of the Apocrypha, it is stated that God appinted spirits to things like rain, the winds, snow, xyz, and that things like angels also have their own duties, authorities, and powers. There are also Watcher, Angels who fell from heaven and had children with mortal men and women[Nephilim]. Also, when God flooded the earth, these Nephilim became disembodied and became spirit beings trapped on Earth... at least until judgement day and they are destroyed. Fun fact: from the Abrahamic persoective, given the Apocrypha, 8t 8s believed that the gods of other pantheon like: Greek, Egyptians, Norse Pantheons, and the Annunaki and Orisha are percieved to be these Fallen Angels, Nephillim, and disembodied Giants. So my personal theory is that the "gods" in Genshin Impact are actually of various independent origins, but they are essentially the children of the Shades, Seelies(Angels), and potentially some mortals. So there could have been some Shade-Human, Seelies-Human, or even Shade-Seelie unions that either intentionally or unintentionally created entities. Which is why they have demon names.
@owohscorner
@owohscorner Ай бұрын
This would also explain erosion, as humans- mortals are bound to only live short lives. So when a Human mixes with an immortal, their progeny is still bound to die because their natures, mortal and divine are conflicting with each other. And that doesn't mean a Shade or Seelie literally took a human lover, but there could have been a mortal element in their creation. Like how Rukkedehvata is the avatar of Irminsul, Venti is the son of Istaroth/from the 1000 winds, and Ei and Makoto were born from lightning(and I think the lightning struck a tree)

Actually, now that you mention, the relation between snakes and dragons is like deeply rooted in chinese mythology, not only it was said that snakes would "cultivate" and grow legs over time, thus becoming dragons, there's also the myth of Nu Gua, half snake, half human, depicted as being the original ancestor of human kind. It is a chinese game after all, and it was very clear from the start to me at least, that they would somehow, give Zhongli a slightly more important role or significance as character (or archon) simply bc it's something cultural to them. They like to paint the self insert of their irl nation in a good light, so it makes sense - and I will DIE on this hill.

I love everything about this video, makes a lot of sense. I spent the whole video expecting you to mention the consecrated beasts though. Any reason you didn’t? An older theory was that when the primordial one was injured pieces of his body landed on teyvat and where eaten by animals causing them to morph into god like monsters, like super buffed consecrated beasts. The archon war would have been in part a ruse, to have these accidental divine entities destroyed in order to prevent people from finding out about the gods’ origins and maintain tight control over tayvat. This is further supported by the suspicious absence of actual fighting in sumaru and fontaine to become archon. Also I was under the impression that the original adepti were animals that gained sentience via consuming something divine but where some how not corrupted. It’s low key implied either in xianyuns story quest or the chenyu vale quest that zhongli actively created adepti, and we learned xianyun could give people temporary longevity by having them consume her blood. It seems highly likely that Zhongli knows at least part of the secret that got orobashi killed and yet somehow got away with doing his own experiments Also ororon straight up mentions in his profile story/voicelines that the archons at one point were doing genetic experiments on humans and speculates thats where the animal bits some people have come from, including his own saurian ears. Would love to hear your thoughts on this! My working memory is terrible so unfortunately I can’t really trust my own recollection of events 😅

Thank you ! it had been a while since but I always was one of the few ones who raised concern about the general interpreatation of what was mentionned in Neuvillette's vision story as "Fragment of the Primordial" as not traightforward but was met by dismiss. Also you mentionned Neuvillette giving Fontainians real blood, but I think Siegewienne's SQ shows clearly that still now, there are still layers of differences between Fontainians and other humans across Teyvat, mainly since they are still very sensitive to whatever is made from Primordial sea water unlike other people form the other regions, take that in account. My guess is THIS is the reason why Celestia was so against Oceanids becoming humans, since they are originally and ENTIRELY Draconic in Nature. Also I never believed Zhongli being a Dragon, but with what Xianyun's lore has to say about the "Adepti" having existed since the biggining of time, as well as him having the a right under contract not to talk about 'something' and that THE ULTIMATE JOURNEY OF AN ADEPTUS IS TO SEEK THE TRUTH OF THE WORLD which for you mentionned was deemed forbidden everywhere else, as well as him being the golden god and how's blood is used as a means of transmutation runs through the earth in a very eery way that throw back to what transpires in the HSR Golden Epic Trailer and how he also did devide the Chi of Yore to four aspects to tame them and dispersed his soul, body, mind... Afterall what remains of the Chi is a core sealee by some golden Adeptal contraption. I can confidently say that I now undescriminately eat anything that sounds remotely beleivable lmao.

@@kotarouinugami1745 this is the entire point. Shape shifting potion is much much more effective on Fontainians than non fontainians, so even if Fonainians are indeed deemed closer to the other humans now than ever they are still not entirely the same as other humans in Teyvat, for the better or for the worse.

That's because it is. There are exactly two known numbers for really old times - 6000 years ago Zhongli descended on Teyvat, whatever that means; and 3700 years ago Guili Assembly was flooded, causing people to flee to Liyue Harbor. I usually take destruction of Guili Assembly as an approximate date for start of the Archon War, which means Zhongli must have seen the world when it was largely as Primordial One intended it to be.

So I'm a Albedo main and think I finally have discovered the Truth of this World. It's a Diab Bubble universe we see these in Honkai Impact third allot. Most Recently the in the Salt land saga and now in Mars. So lets get into it. What is Tyvatt it's a Upside Down Wine Glass. The world we plat in is the Base of the glass the Stem. Far far above us or rather bellow is the world of Amphora from Star rails. Or something similar. VERY VERY SIMILAR to the point the differences don't' matter for this explanation and with how Hoyoverse meta works we can just roll past it. In the new Amphora Realm release they gave us the basic Cosmology. There were three Fates. And a Central one made from all three. HOWEVER one of them broke into all the Seeli, One died and the third is a Harbinger. Of the one that broke into the seelie a central core remains Piemon. They work as the RAM in a computer. Or FATE Irmansal is the Hard drive. The Nerve system that transports everything to MEMORY which is the same Energy as the Memokeepers collects. Think of it as back up Will power and emotion. That's the Green energy we see. When it's more transparent it's Wind which plants breath, which in this case is TIME. That with out will become Anemo or Freedom. Loose energy with out will to stucture it. Hence it picks up the will of other elements. Cryo, Electro, Fire, Water. Geo is Dust which is a nice was to say the CORPSE OF THE SUPREME CELESTIAL DRAGON OF LIGHT. The original Zhongli who in fact I think is the last of his will. Think all the times we see a Psychic God Echo etc. So both Dendro which is Will and Geo which is Celestial Material are External Structure materials. Think the Blood and Flesh of the Dead God. The reason Geo is the God of Contracts is his will determines he AUTHORITY over his base parts. Fire is Emotional Impetus that which drives us to act, and causes change. It's the beginning of things and that which burns them out. Water is compassion and connection it's that which allows a flowing of energy Electro is FUEL it's what maintains cohesion after it as been set by will and fuels Dendro's program the actual energy in your computer Cryo is the Lock, it pauses activity and holds things, likely the Firmament is all ICE the reason she needs the other Gnosis maybe she thinks she can freeze the abyssal energy and force is back down the stem of the Wine glass hence why we are always fighting down the Abyssal spire. Anemo is Freedom because it's undetermined state of energy think of Electro as Direct Current and Aero being like the Electro Magnetic Field everywhere but you can't always tap into it. The Dragon Sovereigns are like Dragon Elemental Organs of the GREAT celestial Dragon. Hence when the world was built from it's Corpse they were already here, think of the Milisune in the Elenos. Same Same. A Descender is the Will of a Titan there mind. Likely from Amphorus. There body was Condensed to Create the Visions and Gnosis. they are a Secondary system grafted onto this system. I believe Ultimately The World Tree is Imaginary Time flows through it like sap. It draws from the Sea of Quanta which is a product of the Abysal sea. Quanta is the break down of Imaginary energy it's undoes the Lock of Willpower. Each universe is like a Leaf being feed with imagination but when they fall off they sink into the sea of quanta that digest the will that holds the shape of the world. The Abyss targets that connection to the tree when that happens you get a HONKAI IMPACT. Tyvatt had a Genshin GOD IMPACT. They knew they were going to loose. So he or she Cut it off. They they build a WALL the Firmament. The Celestial Dragon is likely fine in the Sea of Quanta as it's native to that environment hence why the God First Descender used it's body to Build the Structure of Tyvatt for it's resilient. This was always just to buy time. They were hoping for a Durandal type of Solution savior like Bianaca from HI3. Tyvatt is a Imaginary Well built out a Celestial dragon and is acting as a Plug and Wall but now over time it's slowly breaking down. Evolution isn't happening because we are now closed off from more Imagination fuel to keep this world alive like a rotting leaf that is eating the last of it's nutrients. If we found soil we could grown into a Clone of the world but as of yet we have no where to graft this world to Let me know if you all are interested in more. I do physics and theology so this has been fun all

This makes a lot of sense because I always wanted to know what the serpent god and egeria's actual "sins" were. Just reading a book or creating some oceanid humans didn't explain why celestia overreacted like that. But I can completely understand why they would be afraid of evolution. And René and his team actually did turn out to be quite a threat, btw. Anyway, this all raises interesting questions about Nibelung and his pearl. The primordial one could also maybe get his authority from the pearl, since everything comes from dragons in the end..

Hearing of the fragments of primordial origin driven to devour each other, I somehow thought of 7 elements which are destined to react and fight with each other in the game dynamics. Like, phlogiston and the primordial sea both have kind of starry/rainbow sheen. Primordial sea in elemental vision goes black (all paints mixed together), phlogiston is neutral (white, like all clear colors mixed into sunlight). And divorced from each other, orphaned, given away to different lands and divine hoards of elemental power, they can never become one again. Until the entity comes which can absorb all of them. Even the abyss.

A few things to note 1 - If the "demon name" is granted by Primordial one, how does Mavuika has one? Does the shades have enough influence on this power to at least pass this name from one person to another, how did she get the name Haborym..is the pyro archon lineage passing on two names Kingozi and Haborym both? Because while we know, the oceanid whatever her name may be, took on Focalors..but what was Egeria's demon name? Same for Buer and Rukkha. Also if i m not wrong, arent Baal/Beelzebul essentially the same? I will need celestia to explain this shit. 2 - When we say Zhongli is the oldest archon, is it with respect to the current 7 or as a whole? Because surely he cant be older than Egeria or Rukkha..they must have been there since before the advent of humans at the very least. 3-All gods are not made equal, if all of them are the fragments of Primordial one, why are they all different in strength and what defines how much strength one would posses? There were gods like Morax, Decarabian, Amun and Remus, that were called "God Kings"..did they have "more" than average strength from the Primordial one? Is this what it means when Amun declined the gift from heavens? Aka he was given a head start like Morax and Decarabian and yet he refused the opportunity to establish himself as the sole ruler of sumeru? the whole reason Remus left sumeru was not because he was afraid of Scarlett King but rather that, he could not defeat him and did not want to be under him either. This only leaves him one option, either somehow kill him or just leave. Perhaps he did not consider the option of co-existence like Amun wished with the heavenly goddess and rukkha. 4- How did a lot of them originate? Morax could very well have been a qiling/dragon adepti who received the demon name and grew powerful.. Venti was the wisp of the shade of time, hence gained a sentient form. Rukkha was an incarnate of irminsul, Egeria was created by Shade of Liffe and Focalors in turn was created by her. So what species are Raiden twins? Amun? Remus? even decarabian or Guizhong? Andrius or orobashi seems to be the case similar to zhongli, perhaps they were a very prominent and powerful wolf or serpent(remember there are serpent dragons too..like Waxaklahun Uba Kahn) who received the demon name..what what about rest of the "humanoid" gods? 5- Our sibling said, that 500 years ago, heavenly principles took action. IF his fragments were devoured much before than that, why did our sibling say that? Did the shades take action on their behalf? Or did primordial one truly did exist till 500 years ago and has gone into slumber right after the cataclysm? 6- If visions are external foci granted by gods to potential god candidates(aka like Venessa or Guhua, they would joint the ranks of the gods) why did Neuvilette grant a vision? Why are visions even handed? Why are allogenes even targetted? The archon war happened to eradicate all gods except 7, now you are looking for and nurturing god candidates? My guess..the war never ended. The war is still going on, and Venessa nd Guhua were two allogenes who were chosen to become gods and fight for celestia against the unknown enemy. Otherwise look at it like that, Venessa cares for Mond a lot. and now she is a god. Why would she not help Venti curb the Dvalin crises? Why was she not there the whole time? Answer? She is busy fighting in a war on another front..perhaps this is why visions are imperative. 7- The dark sea is full of contradictions. Enkanomiya lies on the border of the three realms..such a place MUST be very crucial to heavenly principles, as that place is where the other realms are invading the human realm. So why did they forsake such a crucial place? It must also be outside the reach of irminsul, otherwise there should have been no records in Sun and Moon remaining...wasn't this the whole reason why enjou made the journey there? the sun and the moon should have been altered via irminsul IF the primordial one wanted it to not be found. This is what i feel is very contradictory, such a crucial spot is not only abandoned by primordial one but also not under the surveillance of irminsul? 8- Who betrayed Orobashi? If my speculation on point 7 is correct, then how did celestia even come to know of Orobashi reading the book? If irminsul cannot reach that place then how and why was Orobashi sentenced to death? 9- Even though it is said that according to Primordial One humans are their greatest species, why was Egeria who created Humans not immediately sentenced to death, while Orobashi was? Heck, flooding fontaine wouldn't even have done anything to egeria or to the oceanids for that matter..they would have just gone back into what they were before without dying. That punishment was way too lax. Unless...Egeria created humans but her technique was just mimicking the actual path Primordial one took. But what Orobashi did was possibly tooooo on point with Primordial Ones experiments. Egeria could not create true humans in the end, but if Orobashi had been left unchecked he would have created a true god/human(i mean a weak god or a strong human...considering vishaps are essentially element wielding humans of light realm). AKA egeria copied the homework but made changes so it wasn't similar, while orobashi managed to find the correct answer via hit and trial. primordial one, grafted part of himself onto ancient dragons to create demon gods just like how orobashi used his own blood corals. This all makes sense as now all demon gods have fragments of the primordial one too. Plus, since they were created from the dragons, they are capable of handling a dragon sovereign's authority.

That's a lot more than a few but you ask some interesting questions (especially No. 7 and 8 with Orobashi's betrayer). I think that the 4 Shades probably have enough authority to pass on Demon Names as the King can. When it comes to No. 4, I can answer every single one except Amun. I actually have no clue where the heck he comes from. Andrius on the other hand got his powers from an Angel (based on a Myth in Teyvat) and Angels are dragon(ish) adjacent (probably). As for Baal and Beelzebul, I might have a video on them coming out in early 2025.
@sophiadealencar8721
@sophiadealencar8721 Ай бұрын
Please keep in mind I'm commenting before watching the video! About the 4 one, I think it's safe to assume that Venti and Decarabian are related in some way. Decarabian is a god of storms, but he's mostly focused on the "windy" part of the Storm. For example, Raiden is mostly focused on thunderstorms, and she isn't called by it, only by lightning. Decarabian, however, (and that is explicitly told to us) is the wind that brings the storm. Venti, for a comparison, is called the God of Breeze (and Hope), while it is stated that the people bowed to Decarabian "not out of respect, but because of the howling winds keeping them on their knees". (I don't remember the exact quote, apologies) As such, it's worth tracing a relation between Decarabian and the rest of the Thousand Winds. If Venti (or rather, Barbatos) was but a mere wisp amongst them and became such a powerful god and even an Archon, what's to say Decarabian couldn't have come from a similar situation? It's not too far fetched to imagine he was a more powerful wind in the Thousand, whom the humans seek aid against the biting cold unruly winds that used to desolate Mondstadt, and eventually gathered enough power to do the whole Old Mondstadt ordeal. (Don't mind me, I'm a Venti enthusiast so I may think too deep about things involving him)
@apoorvjoshi2383
@apoorvjoshi2383 Ай бұрын
@@sophiadealencar8721 I am totally onboard with this theory. I mean since we haven't been explicitly told of Decarabian's true origin(or rather most gods') this is a very good explanation. Infact, i feel mond was probably the only nation where there were three wind entities battling for power(or rather two were battling, and then one got sealed/defeated and other gave up). So it does makes sense. Not to mention, when sumeru came, a concept rose that lightning or electro is actually good for plants. It has a very nurturing nature hence it enhances the growth rate of dendro and other dendro related beings. This could very well be traced back to Makoto and Raiden, just like how you explained Venti and Decarabian. Both based on lightning but Makoto is the nurturing aspect(and she was connected to a tree growing very fast..albeit with istaroth in the mix..as a potential hint to the nature of electro) and Ei is the punishing aspect of electro. Just like how Decarabian was associated with harsh storms while Venti with gentle breeze of hope
@sophiadealencar8721
@sophiadealencar8721 Ай бұрын
@@apoorvjoshi2383 The parallels with the Electro Twins reinforce this theory quite a lot. Remember that Ei was the one who was mostly responsible for the conflict/war dealing in Inazuma, while Makoto was the one who was actively taking care of the people, 'nurturing' them, if you will. It's curious to note how Decarabian had a human form, very unlike Andrius but very alike to Barbatos, which might be another hint that they could be closely related to each other. There's also the fact that both Mondstadt and Inazuma are filled with references to Istaroth, so Genshin could very well be pointing at two pairs of elemental siblings who are all important to the history of their respective countries and are/were either Archons or strong candidates.

I’ve been dying for someone to talk about this! I think there’s also another interesting thing about the gods that I haven’t seen anyone really make a video about, and that’s the eerie similarities between “the resentment of dead gods” and abyssal corruption. They seem the affect the world and living creatures in the same way and the methods for subduing and quarantining them are also pretty similar. Like the shrines on Yashiori Island acting like mini Celestial Nails, placed at specific points to hold down Orobashi’s resentment. I wonder if the Primordial One’s “blood” might in fact be Abyssal in its origin.

My guess is, that in the decisive battle against the dragon-king Nibelung, the Primordial One was injured and suffered abyssal corruption. It somehow transferred to all of his "fragments", infecting the gods with hatred, and causing the Archon War. Until the surviving gods got strong enough to suppress the Abyss within them with the might of their elemental power. Which is why feeding remains of one god to another hostile god is considered a good idea. Like when Venti fed Decarabian's remains to Andrius, or when Zhongli threw the artifacts of the goddess of salt to where Osial was.

at this point it's interesting how many parallels Deshret has to the PO; he had his seven sages as The Heavenly Principles (THP) have their Archons, he caused a calamity to his people, THP did to, probably even several times, Deshret needed help from another god (Rukkhadevata), THP established order with the remains of the third descender, the scarlet king created the hivemind golden slumber, in the irminsul memories and knowledge converge, AND Deshret had to be bound while THP had their functions ruined. Now I wonder what the goddess of flowers stood for, she is at least to deshret an older being with horns that imparted knowledge to him, soooo could there have been a traitor amongst the dragon sovereigns that helped the PO?

I still think it's sus that Zhongli says "I dwelt here for 6000 years" It's used to describe being trapped they could have worded that differently if they want to say that he was from Teyvat. This suggests that the archons are trapped in Teyvat as well against their will they may not remember that because they suffer from erosion for each journey they go through Just like the vision is described to harness elemental energy, that is also something done without the users permission

The Ars Goetia name if that is their real name or not is very much up for debate. Researching the origin of words is forbidden in Teyvat It's said that Zhongli made a bargain about the contracts of contracts that sounds to me like something else. And it should have to do with vision holding since a vision is an assignment almost each constellation has it's own revelation attached to it. IF Zhongli made that bargain it's possible it made Neuvilettes existence possible, and could be a reason why he avoids him and why Hoyo went out of their way to show that Zhongli purposely avoids the dragon sovereign. Another reason could be that he may identify him from his memories from the archon war. His reaction about Neuvilette is as if he already knows like it's by his design. If My name is right Neuvilette may go through the same type of fate as Zhongli once did Venti says that they call those people allo-geenes so it's common knowledge in Teyvat but they don't speak to us about it. How much the general population in Genshin knows is hard to say we are still being treated as outsiders and only get selected knowledge about things carefully worded by each archon.

@AndrewsMobs That's a lot of misunderstanding. Ei felt the agony of erosion the day her sister died, the same way Zhongli deacribed his erosion : agony of surrendering the things one loves to pursue the "right path", her plan was made of two parts : she created the puppet Shogun to "withstand" erosion that is a divine machine with no overlook on the future and flexibility for change, and she discarded of her physical body to keep herself in a meditative state for 500 years, nothing which other beings, including Zhongli, are incapable of doing.Both parts of the plan failed : Miko said that by meditating endlessly one can only make the effects of erosion come much quicker, and for the shogun puppet, ei said it best : a mind that cannot erode is incapable of embracing the future admitting her laps in judgement and the major flaw in her plan. Queue to why Zhongli said that he understands erosion better than most. The whole AQ of Inazuma was ultimately to make you understand that erosion is inevitable because it's byproduct of evolusion. But for some reason this fandom found a way to understand it the wronf way. Discarding of one's Physical body, meditation, are all too easy for an Adeptus such as Zhongli, if it was any useful he could have done it a long time before her. As of Barbados and the Nahida I don't know where you got that from ? Sure barbados slumbrerd for 500 years, and uses ballads to record the past, but the first was for the purpose of recovering from the Khaenri'ah war and the second only reinforces that he had to find ways to record things that are not subjectto change so what makes you think either found a way to bypass erosion ? of it's for the sole pupose of recording memories, well erosion was never mentionn4d to affect Zhongli's memory, and if it's just a matter of memory decay as you deem, then he wouldn'tbe subject to it since he has a near perfect memory. There is no way to bypass erosion for it is part of heading forward.

If all Life on Teyvat comes from Dragons it would explain why they're the only people with the abilities to manipulate the Elements to their will. The Primordial One and The Shades alongside the Abyss are the only people outside of the Descenders who have powers that don't pretain to the Elements. Hence leading to the Shades abilities- Death, Time, Life, etc. They also make destiny or the fate that is absolute. However, when the Descenders are mentioned they change the ideology and give the world a hope they shouldn't have. The ability to stand against The Heavenly Principles and rid of The Primordial One's desire and control. That explains why all other Descenders have helped The Primordial One and if they didn't they are used to make something to contain The original order of the world. Thats why the Third Descenders remains were used to make the gnosis because it was the only thing strong enough to do without killing The Primordial One and The Second Descender.

yes all gods were the fragments of the primordial one even paimon included.. its just like the primordial one exploded(for example) and all his fragments scattered to all teyvat and and became gods and some fragments collected by the 4 shades like the fragment that the shade of life used together with the primordial sea to created egeria, and a fragment which astaroth given to a wind wisp.. i just dont know why celestia offered 7 thrones for the 7 sole survivor of the archon war.. is celestia wanted to destroy all the fragments by letting all fragments to fight and destroy one another for a seat? i bet the power that ronova gave to xbalanque was a fragment of the primordial one too.. is it fragments that caused the lightning to be incarnated as twins? and a fragment that incarnate irminsul tree to a goddess too? now i wonder how the first cryo archon got a fragment too..

Interesting that they only wanted 7 powers to remain. We know that there are more than 7 elements. But maybe they were part of the fragments that were defeated. Could it be that the primordial one ceased to exist when he gave fragments of himself to the demon gods? And he had the heavenly principles take over for him?

Correct me if im wrong, but from what i hear from scylla: Egeria after being sentenced of her sin chose to be imprisoned or was imprisoned by celestia to the primordial sea. Due to this, the reincarnation of the hydro sovereign cannot be born. Only when Egeria returns from the primordial sea can the next hydro sovereign be born (Neuvillete). This implies that Egeria does not have to die for Neuvillete to be born and Neuvillete could have known Egeria before the Cataclysm. Unfortunately Neuvillete lost his memories of before the cataclysm after the cataclysm.
@RukkhaRukkha
@RukkhaRukkha Ай бұрын
Where is it stated that Neuvillette lost his memories of what happened before the Cataclysm? As far as I remember, Neuvillette said that he has no recollection/knowledge of prior events, but he did not say he "lost" all memories. Neuvillette himself said that he could not meet Egeria (we currently don't know if this means she lived before his time or they simply didn't cross paths) but given that Egeria felt sympathy for Dragons, and so did her successor Focalors, one would assume Neuvillette was born after her death to replace her as a Primordial Sea Heart.
@justsomeguywithgreenhair
@justsomeguywithgreenhair Ай бұрын
Before being an Archon, Egeria was made as the heart of the primordial sea, replacing the Hydro sovereign dragon. So, no hydro dragon sovereign could be born so long Egeria was alive. Because the primordial sea doesn't need 2 hearts. So, it would only make sense for Neuvillette to be born after Egeria's departure.

@@RukkhaRukkha sorry for my lacking memory and i found the voiceline not from Scylla but from the Cassiodor/Os: World Quest, Canticles of Harmony: Second Movement - Prisoner in Shackles, Part 1: The Last Day of Remuria Monsieur Os: Well, "fell dragon" was the name they gave, but it was no more than a Vishap that was a teensy bit stronger than normal. After all, no new Hydro Dragon could be born so long as the Mistress of Many Waters hibernated in the deep sea. Also my mistake that Neuvillete could have known Egeria before the cataclysm and Neuvillete losing his memories. But it is still possible that the Neuvillete was born before the cataclysm after egeria returned from hibernation in the primordial sea. Perhaps he lived without meeting Egeria. And Neuvillete did say his memory was foggy during that time (before or during cataclysm). Perhaps Focalors found a solution for the impending prophecy after she found Neuvillete.

I think neuvillette was already born when egeria was still the hydro archon bc in the last lantern rite furina said that neuvillettes been alive at least over a thousand year and egeria died during the cataclysm 500yrs ago which makes ur statement of "neuvillette couldn't be born as long as egeria lived" not true
@kotarouinugami1745
@kotarouinugami1745 27 күн бұрын
We certainly know Neuvillette could not be born as long as Egeria was sealed. And he appeared in Fontaine at about the same time as Melusines (a couple of generations after the Cataclysm). There is no evidence of Neuvillette existing during Egeria's lifetime, though. Note that dragon sovereigns seem to count all their incarnations as part of their lifespan, just like Nahida does. So maybe Furina referred to that. Or maybe Neuvillette was really born shortly after Remuria drowned.

Okay hold on, I have a question: How did the Sage manage to do essentially the same but evade divine punishment? Is he not essentially also experimenting like Orobashi was? His son was part human, part dragon, essentially making that an “evolution” for dragons and humans. I know we don’t know if it’s thru natural or scientific means how Och-Kan was born from but it IS interesting that Och-Kan is basically cousins with those people who could understand the language of Vishaps in Enkanomiya, but the Sage experienced no consequence whatsoever after what I presume to be millennia.

Chances are, he was just seen as too insignificant. Also, his plans failed every time, so perhaps he was opposed, but more subtly. After all, disposing of Orobashi was also done with a lot of secrecy and politics.

Celestial hasn't been active for a very long time, even after Neuvillette turned primordial seawater into blood. Nothing happened, so I wonder what makes Zhong li and Venti still so reluctant to say anything at all. On another note, Deshrret could've been an emanation of Nibelung, since he was able to freely control all elements. Maybe the ultimate "sin" committed by the seelies wasn't falling for a human, but a dragon instead.
