Good to see Tanmay in his leaner meaner form, and I thank him for the kind words about my 'quiz mastery''. But just to get the facts right about his KBC anecdote - the show was mooted by Star to Synergy, through then programme head Sameer Nair, & not the other way around, and there was only one name that came up as a possible host, and that was Amitabh Bachchan. That happened at the very first meeting between Sameer & myself on KBC. He was to be the brahmastra of the first mega show on Indian TV, whose very intention was to hoist Star out off the distant no. 3 position on the ratings chart put it at the very top. It delivered within the fist few weeks. The prize value was actually set by Rupert Murdoch himself, at a meeting with the Star team at Mumbai, to put it out of reach of competitor channels who at that stage were far ahead of them. And its true that the first value proposed to him was a lakh. He said - how much is that in dollars ? And when told he said - no, they'll get there. Then came 10 lakhs - once again he nixed that as too gettable, & asked what was next, and a crore came up. Which is when to the awed team he announced - that sounds about right. But of course, the competition tried to keep up - Sawaal Dus Crore Ka & Jeeto Chhapad Phaadke ( which offered 5 crore) were announced soon after. Some more trivia co nnected to what was spoken about here - we a called the faster finger first intro shots Windshield Wiper shots, because any hand gesture had to be within a tightish fixed frame, but nor cover the face, and while contestants were free to use their hands in any way, most chose to wave below the chin. And that iconic signature tune has a trigonometric handle - Tan to the power of 8 ( those are the no. of notes - tan tan tan tan tan tan tan tan !!) You go, guys. Have a ball..

Guys at SnG, I subscribed to your channel like two years ago but i never really came back to the channel often. And then few days ago i watched your Big question show on 90's songs and now i am hooked!! I sang along all the songs you guys mentioned with the same passion! I binge watched all your videos within 2 days. Being a 90's kid, i hugely thoroughly enjoyed that episode, it brought back many childhood memories and took me down memory lane after long long time. So thank you guys. Just so you know, i have only followed Aib and TVF channels ardently until now, SnG just joined that coveted group. You guys are doing great jobs. Now am planning to host a dinner for my friends who are also 90's kids just to watch those videos together all over again. I don't know if any of you remember shows like Swabhimaan and Yug which was during Doordarshan era! I must have been 6-7 but i used to watch it religiously. But one of my favorite shows growing up was Hip Hip Hurray! I also loved just mohabbat, hum paanch, dekh bhai dekh, sara bhai vs sara bhai, jungle book, movers and shakers, and also many dramatic serials like kusum, heena, kasuati, sanjeevani, kyunki, kahin kisi roz, etc! Anyhow, great job guys. Lots of love from New York.
