The painter guy name was Ravinder Ravi , He was from Punjab. He sang mind blowing song at Gala round " tujhe dil mein basa toh lunga ehsas zaroori hai" was so good. It was like 15 years ago and it's still fresh in my memory

Ronny Saikia finally somebody mentioned the name. I watched the whole two part show just to hear that name get mentioned. Damn, the nostalgia associated with that show is too high. It was such a relatable show growing up, especially as the characters were similar aged back when it used to air. Great show, colorful characters.

Guys, the tashrif=dil joke was from parag kansara. I have a story about him:He used to appear on Gujarati channels. He used to do the bits in Gujarati and when he appeared in laughter challenge, he repeated those EXACT SAME bits in Hindi. I still remember almost all the jokes he did in laughter Challenge were the same as he did in Gujarati.

Loved this. ❤️ I am so glad u guys remember shows that none of my other peers seem to remember. A few shows that you missed out on - Hip Hip Hurray, a show I loved as a teenager. It had most of the MTV and Channel V VJ's. Both the music channels themselves were so cool and had such a fan following among the youth back then. Among other DD shows, there was the popular show my mom loved , Tu Tu Main Main and Yeh jo hai Zindagi. (Shah Rukh Khan acts in one of the episodes as a spoilt brat who gets caught for rash driving!) Another very well directed show was 'Saboot' on star plus of which one can't find any trace online. And of course, how can one forget the beautiful stories that were featured in Star Bestsellers. Irrfan Khan acted in a couple of them, Anurag kashyap, Imtiaz ali and sme other directors had their short films screened in that. And there was one BRILLIANT show on DD called 'Kirdar'. It was written by Gulzar Saab. Absolutely beautiful writing and almost every episode had Om puri in it. Irrfan Khan also acted in two episodes on that. This aired around 1992 I guess. Its there on youtube now. Ooooh and Byomkesh Bakshi! Oh and HOWWWWW can we forget the epic Ramayan and Mahabharat?? Though you did mention it in passing when you spoke of Krishna being caught smoking. And FYI, I think you got Bhavna Balsavar's name wrong when you were speaking about Dekh Bhai Dekh. Loving the episodes of The BIG Question. Keep em coming :)

First of all the name of Reema Lagoo's husband in Shriman Shrimati was not Shafi Namdar, he was Jatin Kanakia, second, the tashreef joke was not of Rauf Lala it was Parag Kansara, third, the name of the painter who came to top 5 in Indian Idol season 1 was Ravindra Ravi. Bhabhi ji ghar par hai is actually copied/ inspired from Shriman ji and Shrimati ji! And Yes boss was baba superb! The boss was behind one girl who was wife of the assistant and it was hidden that the girl is married ! Crazy but way damn funny Even Family no. 1 was pretty crazy show. Like how Tanmay has constantly being using 'Kaafi'! All of you are simply great and lovely!
