At $239 CAD, I wouldn't buy it with a fused cable. If that cable gets damaged goodbye expensive headset. A rubber cable is better than braided IMO - less noise. I've never tried this headset, but I would like to, as I have used various Sennheisers, Logitechs, Cooler Masters, Astros and Turtle Beaches, and after all those the one that sounded the best in BFV was my Audio Technica ATH-M40x. Yeah, I was shocked! Now, I'm thinking that I have not given Audio Technica the attention it deserves. Time to change that.

I am very close to purchasing this headset. I do not have the Astro mixamp. Have you tried just plugging the headphone cable into the controller? Is this quality inferior?

@@StreamGearTalk just got he headset, it's good, exept the microphone, I don't know if I can unplug/plug everytime. I had beyerdynamic mmx300 but the mic was dying (after 3 years) and I didn't want to spend $300 again (not worth it, $150 sure but 300 no way) I did quit the kidney market, too messy
