Released in 1978. This song became popular in Germany 1991, it was used for a Nissan Commercial, in 2002 for a Blaupunkt Commercial. This version was released in Germany.

I was 15 in 1979 and I remember the great new songs that were released almost every week. 79 was the best year ever for music, so many truly great new songs, you would have loved it, I certainly did.

One of the best rock tunes of its time..A "One Hit Wonder" but what a hit it was way back in '79!! Still cruise downtown at age 55 with this cranked up in my little Tacoma. All I can say is this will always be one Bad Ass song by Sniff 'n The Tears...this extended version is AWESOME!! Thanks for posting an all time favorite of mine.

I can listen this sound endlessly and never get burned out on it. Something about this song that always elevates my mood no matter what. It's a "one hit wonder" but a masterpiece. There's a lot going on in the song and it definitely took some real musicians to come with it all and put it together like they did. Awesome.

Thanks for uploading, I never knew there was a genuine extended mix of this from the time, not just modern re-edits. I first heard it in Boogie Nights, it's used so well as the backdrop for the NYE 1979 party. I don't get a chance to play it much as a DJ but whenever I do someone always comes up and asks me what's the name of it and I'm always happy to tell them. I didn't know the name myself for years. I hope it enters the public consciousness soon as it's too good a song to stay as obscure as it is.
