The thing about Hadrian's Wall is that despite it's poor construction, it still did what it's main purpose was; to act as a physical barrier to slow and hinder crossing. Like, it was to slow attackers, but also make it harder to come over and loot by making it very difficult to get your sway back easily. It also acted as a way to force traders to go to set locations for inspections, tariffs, ect.

Minecolonies really is one of my favorite mods around these days, and it is just... so satisfying to just muck around with it and see your cities grow. I quite enjoy the Fortress build style, since it is, honestly, the most secure one around, since the back wall of every building is the outer wall of the fortress.

Hey I recommend minefortress mod! It's like the colony mod but it's a real time strategy instead of colony building. You have to control your villagers and they can build craft dig and all sorts of advanced things. Try it out!

I’m not sure if you’ve already learned or figured these out, but: 1) I’d suggest a storage mod if you aren’t the best at organizing your chests, that works for me at least 2) You can acquire straw by breaking grass with a knife in Farmer’s Delight
