When Alpha Legion was first released, I was able to snag the name Alpharius right away. Then they wiped everyone's characters, and I was unable to get it back I was crushed :(

Use to, play Tribes but my old crap computer couldn't really handle it, so all I could do was run around (with my view pointed at the ground so I wouldn't lag out) repairing defenses. We kept winning because our teams were the only ones that had at least on guy dedicated to maintaining the defense. I was helping!

+Snipe And Wib; I've played a few hours of WH40k:EC now, and I have to say that it only gets better when you play with other folks (Read as: friends, associates, meat-shields) in a "War Party", even if the games current iteration of the party system is kinda clunky to use and set up. That being said, I agree with Wib. You want to like the game so hard, but you can't help but see its faults... Still, the Dev's seem like they have a lot of heart and love for the game and the 40k lore (their live streams tend to be pretty nifty, if a bit 'hypey' in places). So here's hoping!

Yeah, I'm going to be honest, I really hope thet the game is out of early access in nameonly and it continues growing and getting better (Or at least, you know, decent) as the developers say. Not that they are to be trusted by any means, but I'm an optimist.

NeoChronoid I honestly see no reason not to trust them. The original promises came from a different lead developer, the game was punted into full release by Bandai before it was ready and while the debs have missed deadlines they consistently demonstrate new things that are actively being worked on. They're trying and are a lot more upfront than most desirable as to what is being worked on.

Short answer: Worse. Long answer: It's similar but lacks the polish, tightness, spectacle, customisation and optimisation. I understand some because it's not got the same kind of money behind it and I can see people enjoying it if once they adjust for some of it's jankiness, but for us there's just too much wrong with it to really recommend it.

To be fair, the mechanics are really solid and the graphics are fantastic. Or rather, the design is fantastic. Like you could see with the axe, they really have chaos weapon design down to an art.
